Every day I look at the LSN graph I think how nicely my little green triangle would fit in right in that little spot where my numbers are.

If I applied 3.5 weeks ago and haven't gotten a status checker, should I worry? At what point should I contact the admissions office?

I think you could write a big "FUCK YOU" on your application and still get into the T10

Applied 10/3, received 10/9, complete 10/21. It has to be my GPA... only a few at Michigan accepted with grades lower than mine. This semester should be better though, and maybe together with a well-written and heartfelt LOCI I could get off that waitlist I'm pretty sure I'm doomed for.

I am really beginning to think I screwed something up, except that I did get into W&M. I submitted early, updated with my new lsat score in Oct, but I haven't gotten into Duke, UCLA, Michigan, or UVA (and Gtown wants to interview me) and they've all been accepting folks. I know my LSAT is a little T14 mediocre, but I would think at least one place would have taken me so far. I was even so paranoid I looked back over my submitted apps a few days ago to see if there was something horribly wrong.

I try to console myself by telling myself that it's just taking so long because adcoms are reading all of my narrative evaluations (my school gives both those and normal grades so my transcript is probably like war and peace).

I'd almost rather not get a JR1 than get a JR1 and no JR2, which is where I stand at this point.

got a fee waiver yesterday. really happy as i really think if i had to predict probabilities i think michigan is my most likely destination. dean z even added a tidbit saying they love people from my UG

not to rain on your parade, but I also got a note saying they love people from my ug. I'm curious to see if we went to same ug. But congrats on the fee waiver! I did hear a fee waiver at much does indicate a higher prob of acceptance I think they said it is around a 40% acceptance rate.

Yep, even better; according to Michigan's Admissions FAQ:

Historically...receiving an invitation does indicate a greater likelihood of admission; we admit about one fifth of the overall pool, but we admit more than half of the applicants who were invited to apply.

That's awesome to hear. I received a fee waiver, and also have spotted folks on LSN with worse GPA AND LSAT getting admitted. I just received a status checker a few days ago...hopefully I will hear good news, and soon.

i wrote a why mich and an essay talking about my lsat score and why it sucked, basically an addendum which is one of their optional essays

No. I am a plain-Jane white kid. I don't add much diversity. All I submitted to Michigan was my PS and a Why Mich. The PS was the same one I submitted to every school.
