Are others joining the Facebook group as well?
When is Admitted Students Weekend?
Has anyone gone for a tour - was it helpful in your decision-making process? I know very little about Michigan to be honest other than what's on the website.

Hi everybody! I received an email about the status checked being forthecoming on December 20th, but haven't received the actual status checker--is it possible it didn't send or is the holiday delay causing this?

Has anyone who submitted in December received their status checker?
I submitted 12/16 and haven't gotten any emails or notifications that they received it.
Edit: Nvm they did send an email that they received it on 12/19, but I have not gotten an email with the status checker.

I received status checker about a week after I submitted, but have been waiting to go complete for what seems like forever (submitted first week of Dec)

I'm in the same boat--guessing it's just a delay from the holidays!Torres1893 wrote:Has anyone who submitted in December received their status checker?

It takes awhile to go complete. I think you're making normal time, especially since there was a holiday break. It took me a little less than a month.hoy456 wrote:I received status checker about a week after I submitted, but have been waiting to go complete for what seems like forever (submitted first week of Dec)

It took me all weekend to realize the acceptance email was in my spam folder. I see what people meant about the email being silly. That makes sense now.msouthworth wrote:Checking in! Accepted via email, waiting for packet in the mail. Anyone else starting in summer term?
Summer 2017 here!
Couple questions:
Anyone got any data on how long it takes to receive the snail mail package?
What's the protocol for letting them know you're going to be on campus and that you'd like a tour or something, if it's possible? I'll be in the area and would love to get to know it better. Just shoot them an email I guess? I assume that's not frowned upon? Should I bring a bottle of wine or an appetizer or something? I'm clueless about this kind of stuff.

Took about 2 weeks for me to receive mine (also a summer starter), but that does not include the FinAid package. They are still catching up with their FinAid offers.Sarastro wrote:It took me all weekend to realize the acceptance email was in my spam folder. I see what people meant about the email being silly. There is a form on the site where you can sign up for tours, but if you're already there/will be there really soon, an email couldn't hurt. They respond pretty quickly to those. I... wouldn't bring the wine unless you already know someone. Or, rather, I would, which is probably why you shouldn't

They have an online system for scheduling tours/class visits. Visit this website for more info: http://www.law.umich.edu/aboutus/Pages/visiting.aspxSarastro wrote:It took me all weekend to realize the acceptance email was in my spam folder. Summer start admit here! Still not sure if I'll be going here, BUT I have been really impressed by the communication efforts/marketing as well as the friendliness of the students. I know someone who attends Michigan and had a few questions she didn't know the answer to so she passed my info on to a couple students who were better equipped to answer my questions and not one, but two, students emailed me and have been super helpful/friendly. I'm assuming that's the community vibe that people tend to mention when talking about Michigan.msouthworth wrote:Checking in! Accepted via email, waiting for packet in the mail.
