Any other admitted students get an email from a 1L today? I'm trying to figure out if they e-mailed us individually or had multiple people email different accepted students, or what. Haha

People that are being admitted, did you go UR2 recently and then get DLS?
Like you go UR2 12/2 and get DLS 12/5.
Is there anyone who was UR2 in like November or October and was accepted in the second wave?
I have a feeling like those of us who didn't make the second wave but have been UR2 since early November/October, might have had their files moved to the side in order to give us a decision after the December LSAT takers apply.

There is too much variation to see any pattern, trust me. We'll just have to sit tight and waitThelaw23 wrote:People that are being admitted, did you go UR2 recently and then get DLS?

Well, it's only logical, right?
They have to save a certain amount of seats for the December applicants, who might have better credentials or be good candidates.

But it does really bum me out. I applied everywhere 9/20, and so many people told me that it will have a positive effect on my application. I have yet to see this, though.

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
It kind of proves my point, other than the 11/14 UR2 -> DLS one. If someone was UR2 early on, they seemed to either get a decision the next wave or not get a decision for subsequent waves.
The 11/14 UR2 didn't get in the first wave but then got in the 12/1 wave, though.

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
You have me, who is the UR1 10/4 --> UR2 10/31 who has yet to hear. I've been following this thread for awhile, and most of the people here admitted are above at least one 75th or close to it. I think they review them by your stats. There is a Spivey link on this, that committees tend to review applications with higher stats first. If you look at lsn as well, most of the people accepted are high stat people, excluding URMs.Thelaw23 wrote:It kind of proves my point, other than the 11/14 UR2 -> DLS one. Also, I got into Cornell early (like a couple days after my interview), but I know people who have higher stats who interviewed the same time as me who are just getting in now. I really don't think we can know what goes on

Last cycle AND this cycle, NYU sent their "application received/complete" email to my secondary email address for some reason.....but I'm grateful because I never check that email and thus, have no idea the status of my app
