So I'm 99.9% sure that I'm going to be rejected, but apparently I'm masochistic enough to be anxious about it. Any guesses about when the next acceptance, waitlist, and rejection waves will be?

B) I'm expecting a ding wave today or tomorrow.

I'm expecting dings today or tomorrow as well - slight preference to tomorrow, given that last year there was a wave on April 1. For me, I just want the cycle to be done so I can start making arrangements in earnest. I don't know what I'll do if I get a waitlist (which should come around April 15th), especially since I'm already making plans to live with a friend at another school.schocolate wrote:A) The bolded is exactly how I feel.hopeful94 wrote:So I'm 99.9% sure that I'm going to be rejected, but apparently I'm masochistic enough to be anxious about it. Fair point on the typical weekend movement. I guess we'll just have to keep our eyes on the twitter page.

Acceptances on weekend for sure. Denials and waitlists, who knows!

If this is anything like last year, we should start seeing action around 1:00pm ET.

Last year this day was good friday, so I'd imagine more news would be either tonight (as they seem to avoid weekday, daytime communications, probably because enough of us are at work) or else this weekend.mdnyc wrote:If this is anything like last year, we should start seeing action around 1:00pm ET.

Still all quiet? And are we thinking tomorrow for more acceptances, given the tweet and the pattern of Saturday calls this month?

Come on Yale. I was still getting emotionally prepared for tomorrow. Why'd you have to start tonight?

I didn't see any movement on LSN or in the spreadsheet, so I don't know. I'd imagine they're weeding out the last of those sent to FR around the deadline. My hope is they start dipping into those of us who submitted long ago (Oct.) soon.Smc1994 wrote:glamourgirl wrote:Nope, they're admitting tonight!lawj5 wrote:Still all quiet? When do we think they're going to start today's/tonight's wave?

The only thing that's certain is that you won't see the tweet until about 3 hours after they've started making calls. Ditto with when they stop. My guess is late afternoon/evening for calls but who knows.hopeful94 wrote:When do we think they're going to start today's/tonight's wave?

I've never understood this. There's a discrepancy between the time stamp and when the Twitter account shows the post, but I thought TLSers have been getting calls in the post-Twitter feed window?

Re: Yale c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Right. I find it hard to believe that *every* TLSer who has been accepted has waited at least 3 hours to post the news (which would have to be the case if the YLS Twitter is off by 3 hours, as we've never seen a report of an acceptance outside the Twitter window).I've never understood this. Additionally, I usually spot the Tweet around 12:30 Central. If that tweet is 3 hours late, they're actually starting at 9:30 Central, which is 7:30 West Coast time. I don't see them calling up folks before 8 on a Saturday, even with great news.

I'm curious about the degree to which technical issues at Twitter inform our collective anxiety.Olliedemars wrote:Right. Do you really think they were calling folks until 11:30 pm last Saturday night? That's when the tweet appeared. Or what about the time a closing tweet went out halfway through the Oscars.Olliedemars wrote:Right. Does the lack of a ding wave mean than people expect one this weekend or will we have to wait until later in the month?
I need to be dinged already, it's driving me crazy.
