Yes it is. Being in the military and gov, I'm familiar with SFS but I don't know about NYU's environment. I know this program is new...

Would someone mind sharing details about what came in the pizza box (or at least if any of it is important)? It was sent to my parents' address but I am curious!

It's nothing exciting in the box. The items are: a letter congratulating you on your acceptance, a notepad of NYU Class of 2018 post-it notes, a NYU Admissions Viewbook, a copy of the latest NYU Law magazine or something like that, and a piece of cardboard telling you to follow them on social media.

The only real piece of "swag" in the box is the post-it notes.

I'm currently an NYU undergrad -- does anyone actually know of the validity / lack thereof about alum getting any special consideration? I know there is a lot of talk of it but I am wondering if anyone has real experience. Thanks! Good luck y'all. I submitted yesterday.

Anyone going to the March 5-6 admitted students days? If so, where are you planning on staying? Hotel prices near NYU are insane.

disclaimer: i've never attended NYU, nor do i have expertise in this area. however:

LSAT+GPA account for, let's say, 85% of the quality of your application. that leaves 15% for everything else, including work/diverse experience, extracurriculars, awards/honors/scholarships, quality of undergrad, AND alumni connections. furthermore, alumni connections are basically a random contingency, whereas those other factors reflect individual effort and achievement.

i've heard that both chicago and nyu slightly favor their own undergrads, but the effect is going to be so marginal that i wouldn't even think about it.

I'd stay in the BK or do a hostel/airbnb, but you're going to pay a lot no matter what. Tcr is staying with a friend who lives in NYC if you know anyone

Haven't been able to log in for weeks. It pretty much just keeps telling me I don't exist.

However, I actually want to see the full list of ASW dates.

It says my login name wasn't found when I tried to reset my password. Is the login still just your LSAC number minus the 'L' for everyone else?
