WUSTL has always done the Monopoly money thing but my cycle they really had no shame. They tried to poach people in the summer and gave full rides to people with 166 and a pulse. I wasn't offering that up as a guide for the OP necessarily because I'm sure things have changed and the WUSTL craziness is a one cycle relic, I was just giving the OP one perspective because TLS is so damn anon-crazy and secretive I wanted to at least give the OP some actual numbers because I didn't think he/she would get them otherwise.

The main takeaway I meant to offer up (and this could be totally moot depending on how things have changed in two years) was that 90K at Cornell barely got them to budge.
My bad I could have sworn Monica emailed us saying that it was new and that we were SOL if we asked too early.

WUSTL did pretty much the same thing last cycle and they ended up getting like 100 extra matriculants than they were shooting for. I think they ended up sending out last-minute letters begging people to defer for a year bu they still ended up with like 270 people for their 1L class. I doubt they're throwing around money as casually this cycle.

But yeah I totally agree with you, they're not going to change that offer too dramatically.

Did you miss any calls from a Texas number? I got that email after getting the call from Dean Ingram.
It can't be... tho we have more than 13 hours time difference, I can be waken up by any noise made by my phone at this moment... And the status checker hasn't updated yet...
My status checker didn't update either, for what its worth.
Just got dinged by Michigan... Hope UT would fresh my day...

I was bumped $5k/year because of a WUSTL offer, and it wasn't even a full ride. It was, however, after I double deposited at both schools.

How soon did people get access to the status checker after applying? I received an email stating they received my app on 2/4 but haven't heard anything since - normal?

Definitely normal. I submitted 1/6 and got my status checker on 1/14. But check for a complete date when you get the status checker. Although I got the email on 1/14, my application went complete 1/13.

FWIW, I am international and didn't get a call - or an official welcome email. Sounds like you're in a similar boat? My status checker changed, though, and I got follow up emails about the FB groups. I'd assume it means you're in, tbh. My acceptance envelope took 2.5 weeks to arrive.

I've had radio silence since October. Since then I've had some good softs added to my resume, but I don't want to bug the admissions team. Should I hold off on sending in an updated resume?

Btw, lsat = 25% and GPA > 75%.

You can send it, doubt it'll hurt

Don't see it helping unless you made an Olympic team or something truly spectacular in the meantime but you never know

A 167+ lsat would get their attention, guaranteed

In today via phone call. In state, non-URM.
I was an ED applicant (completed 10/22) but held for my Dec LSAT. So for all my ED's still waiting, they're coming!

Also just admitted via phone. Rolled over from ED in November. Relieved not to be checking every day any more. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

There are several instances of UT sweetening the pot in response to non-peer schools' offers. If I recall correctly, UT's definition of peer is T14.

I'm changing what I've said in the past based on what I've read recently, and I think it depends more on your numbers. But in general, if you aren't spectacular with your numbers I'd say T13. I would be very hesitant to group GULC in as something UT considers a peer (even though they really are).

Need some advice - I was waitlisted over the weekend and UT is my first choice.

When is an ideal time to send in a LOCI? When should I be looking to schedule a tour/meeting with admissions? Since I took the February LSAT and I'll be getting my score back in a few weeks (confident of a score increase), I'm unsure when it would be best to do these.

Thanks in advance!

Do you think theres any way they'd consider UCLA/Vandy as peer schools?

They're pretty savvy IMO, they'll probably offer enough for you to attend if you want to attend.

Status checker says I got in yesterday, got an email today inviting me to UT FreshLaw. No call from the dean though so I was surprised when I woke up today and saw the email from UT--but happy nonetheless! In-state, applied in 1/8 and application was completed on 1/21. PM for stats.

Larry Sager, the former dean of UT’s law school, told investigators he received 10 to 20 calls a year from Brazzil to discuss certain law school candidates.

“Sager acknowledged that the intensity of Brazzil’s interest in a candidate may ‘have on occasion swayed my decision,’” the report states.

Absolutely, but don't worry about describing a school as a peer school in your matching request. Complete your negotiations elsewhere before sending in a matching request.

It may be more about numbers, but it's definitely not about shitting on GULC haha
