I have exact same dates and I am also above both 75% percentiles, so maybe we are all in the admit pile!checkin2014 wrote:Gray wrote:another date change... 01/06, 01/21, 01/26.

+1...I'll probably try and record the interview today or tomorrow! It's pretty awesome that they guarantee a decision within two weeks of the interviewaltf4 wrote:submit mid-dec

Are questions pretty standard? I'll be doing more research on this shortly but was wondering if anyone had any input

Yeah, got that Interview request just now as well, for better or for worse. Submitted mid-Dec, complete on 1.6 and date changes on 1.21 and 1.26. Above both 75th so a possible YP candidate?
Will update after the interview.

Found this compilation of questions from pulstar on page 27 of this thread. Re-posting here.pulstar1 wrote:1) Why Cornell?hereisonehand wrote:Anyway someone can collect all questions that have been encountered in the robot interview and add those to the OP?
2) Why Law?
3) What do you expect from a Cornell Law Education?
4) What will you add to the community?
5) What draws you to Ithaca (besides the fact that Cornell is there)?
6) What advice would you give to someone who is selecting their undergraduate major and how does this apply to what you selected?
7) Why did you select your undergraduate institution?
8.) What type of personality do you work best with?
9) What are 3 adjectives your friends would use to describe you?
10) If you had one day to do anything at all, what would you do?
11) What is your ideal instructional class size and why?
12) What motivates you intrinsically?
13) Describe two things that make a great teacher.
People that have done the interview can PM me any questions they've gotten/seen that aren't on this list. Or they can PM the OP if that's okay with him. Otherwise I can just put a list together, send it to OP and he can update the 1st post.
They ask you a random sampling from this list. All four of mine were listed here.

Sounds like YP. Sorry bout the soft ding, but you'll get plenty of good options!Bluelizard wrote:Above both 75th percentiles and put on reserve today...

Also maybe consider a LOCI if the reserve lasts a while?

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
Jesus Christ, that interview was the most awkward (and probably the worst, period) thing that I did in my life. You are literally given 40 seconds to answer each question and I don't even know what I talked about. One question that I got that I didn't see on the post above was "Do you believe you will thrive in a close-knit academic community? If so, why?" or something like that. Oh God, so now, depending on whether I get reserved or not, y'all will have a solid data point for seeing how really bad interviews work for YP candidates. I am well above both 75% percentiles.

Just got an interview request but did most people's request email ask them to call Cornell to schedule or no?
"To arrange your interview, please call my office at 607-255-5141 to set up a convenient time."

Thank you! This was exactly what I was looking for. I knew I'd seen it somewhere but only looked back to page 28, and then around 10-20 so I just missed itlapata wrote: Found this compilation of questions from pulstar on page 27 of this thread. Re-posting here.

I completed my interview a few hours ago and all my questions came from here, too. In case it's useful to anyone still waiting on their LikeLive invites: you're not given a set 40 seconds for each and every question, but different time limits for all. I'd timed my answers to be 30-40 seconds each and panicked when given 20 for a long-ish answer. Ah well.

Do you live close to Ithica? Maybe they would rather you just come in and interview in person

Has anyone else gotten a request for a skype interview and conducted one this cycle?!?
(edited to report the full name of the scholarship, which was found with a modicum of 'research.')
