Not to be a creep, but would you mind sharing your scholly info with me as well? (PM, of course.) In as of few weeks ago and besides the travel award (which is great, don't get me wrong), haven't heard anything about possible scholarships. I'm a splitter, so I realize it may not be in the cards for me, but I would be really interested to know - even ballpark - what kind of offers WashU is making this year. Right now, I'm imagining anything between free vending machine access between 3 and 5pm and $50K/year...

You should get good money with your LSAT score fwiw.

To everyone waiting on scholarship info, just be patient, things aren't happening at the same time for everyone clearly, and tbh before xmas is still pretty early in the cycle.

Thanks swadianfc!

Scotti's right about it still being early - WashU has spoiled me thus far (and I love it for it).

I interviewed almost a month ago and haven't heard a peep. I wouldn't be surprised if I ultimately get dinged. Interview did not go super great in my estimation.

1) Webcams really give me the heebie-jeebies, and although I do alright at in-person interviews, Skype interviews have never really clicked with me. I believe I come across as very nervous on the webcam.

2) I don't think I successfully convinced him that I was serious about WashU. I have applied to like 17 law schools, and I would probably put WUSTL in my top 4, with one reach school above WashU as my first choice, and WashU tied for 2nd with two others, it just being a question of schollies between them. I felt like he was really fishing for me to express a "WUSTL or bust" mentality, which should be easy to do for a stranger on a webcam, but I'm at a point in my life where honesty has become very important to me and I just don't feel comfortable lying. I consider WUSTL ranking in my top 4 of 17 to mean I am dead serious about it as an option, but I suppose an adcom interested in YP may not.

Does anyone know if we can use the travel stipend to attend admitted students day, or the stipend is only for visits unrelated to ASD? Trying to figure out if it's fine to wait until ASD to visit, or if I should be visiting before then?

If it hasn't changed, it's good for the ASW and I'd wait to use it then for sure.

My acceptance was in my spam folder the day after my interview...probably because WUSTL sends out an inordinate amount of junk mail. May be worth checking your spam if you haven't.

I just have always really loved Cincinnati. My cousins lived there for a bit, and I visited once when I was a teenager and saw a Reds game and loved it. The "Great American Ballpark" is beautiful. I would really like to stay in the midwest for its collegiality, and to stay close to my family, so I have been mostly applying to firms in midwester cities. I really have no desire at all to work in Manhattan, as I have never been a city person and can't imagine paying that much for a shoebox apartment. I like the midwest, and would love to stay and start my life in Cincinnati.
Hmm this is actually really useful; I applied to some cinci firms lol

Lol in my cover letter for one of the diversity positions, I went with something like "My family is originally from Ohio and I would love to return blah blah blah." Which is true on my dad's side but eww Ohio.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
