Applied just before the deadline but Im hoping that I can get a decision before my seat deposits are required elsewhere. I'd rather not drop a ton of cash just because Im waiting on GW.

Has anyone received scholarship offers lately? Also, when/how is the best way to solicit an offer? I have 25k per year offer from Emory, will GW care?

I still havn't gotten scholarship $ even when those around me on the LSAT/GPA pool have. *sigh*. Looks like they may be out of the running. However, is there still one round of scholarships left?

Hoosier, I already tried and they told me to wait until late March, early April. Good luck.Hoosier2 wrote:Has anyone received scholarship offers lately? Also, when/how is the best way to solicit an offer? I have 25k per year offer from Emory, will GW care?

Random Q: has anyone who has been awarded a merit scholarship been told that the deadline for submitting their deposit was April 1? That's what my email says, and it seems a little odd, considering I've heard that other people have been told to send a deposit by the standard April 15 deadline.

I think they make the distinction between the scholarship deadline and the regular deadline.mes10d wrote:Random Q: has anyone who has been awarded a merit scholarship been told that the deadline for submitting their deposit was April 1? Yes, April 1st in my email too. That's the deadline for the seat deposit if you want to accept the scholarship.mes10d wrote:Random Q: has anyone who has been awarded a merit scholarship been told that the deadline for submitting their deposit was April 1? Also, what does "remain in good academic standing" mean exactly?

The April 1/April 15 thing is nothing new. If you aren't going to pull the trigger on your scholarship, they want to know two weeks ahead of the general deadline so that they can re-allocate the discounts to students who didn't originally get any.nmic wrote:Yes, April 1st in my email too. IIRC, good academic standing is above a 1.67 GPA.

Source - see Exclusion and Probation for Low Scholarship, about 2/3 down. Doesn't say "good academic standing" but it looks like they don't care about anything above a 1.67 cumulative.Lebrarian_Booker wrote:MFWdeuceindc wrote:good academic standing is above a 1.67 GPA.

I am also still waiting I have been complete since 1/16. Also, I am GW undergrad and was also wondering if anyone knows if they favor or discriminate against their undergrads, I have heard they do not favor them because they want to have a more diverse class. Has anyone heard anything similar? or anything in general?Yazzzay wrote:Check out LSN, lots of people are still waiting. I've been complete since 1/12 :/Smer45 wrote:Yep still waiting. I know with my undergrad and law school you have next to no boost. Especially if you're not already near their medians. Only thing that helps you is you can visit and talk to someone in admissions which is always nice but I don't think it'll help you much/at all.upstateboy wrote:I am also still waiting I have been complete since 1/16.
