They won't hold those candidates, they'll just go off of their LSAC GPA at that time. There won't be any delay. You just have to submit final transcripts after you graduate.hcrimson2014 wrote:Pretty sure this has been asked before, but I can't find any definitive answer on this issue so I will ask here. For K-JD applicants whose GPA has not been finalized, would their admission follow the same time line as those applicants with a final GPA or does Harvard generally prefer to review their fall-term senior year grades before admitting said candidates.
They say that if, for instance, you're a 4.0 student and you completely bomb your last 2 semesters and get a 2.5 or so that they can rescind an offer of admission. I'm not sure if anyone has actually seen that happen though.

If last year is any indication, the first wave of acceptance phone calls could very well be going out shortly before Thanksgiving.NYPDLAW wrote:Found it easier to do all apps at on e( except for YLS)/ by the way anyone think we'll hear before the holiday.

Is it just me, or did somebody delete almost all of the JS1 info from the googledoc?

It appears someone had filtered the JS1 field by "blank" responses. I removed the filter, and it looks like everyone's info is still there.pinkrobot wrote:Is it just me, or did somebody delete almost all of the JS1 info from the googledoc?

Yeah, they traditionally go out the week of Thanksgiving, which is obviously a week later this year (Nov. 28) than in the past few years (Nov. 22 last year). Not sure we can expect them out next week, may have to wait 'til the week of Thanksgiving. But who knows.splat232 wrote:Yup, just took a look through last year's thread FWIW, and it looks like the first JS2s came out on November 20th -- so that would be about a week from today.granama wrote:If last year is any indication, the first wave of acceptance phone calls could very well be going out shortly before Thanksgiving.NYPDLAW wrote:Found it easier to do all apps at on e( except for YLS)/ by the way anyone think we'll hear before the holiday.

My uninformed guess is that they will wait until the week of thanksgiving like usual but they will sent out more decisions in that first wave than they did last year.

Where is this JS1 google doc? Tried searching, but TLS doesn't allow three letter terms in searches.

For those who have gotten JS1's, did it show up in the mailings section of the status checker? I applied early, but haven't heard anything since getting the complete/status checker e-mail. I'm trying to figure out if I somehow missed the JS1 or there is just something glaringly wrong with my application

Advice on how soon to schedule JS1? Thinking the sooner the better for hearing back early. Does one really need more than 2 nights or so to prepare?

Definitely do it as soon as you have time in your schedule. Take an hour to prep by thinking about what you would say about things on your resume.CitrusFruit wrote:Advice on how soon to schedule JS1? Definitely don't need more than two nights. I only prepared for Why Harvard and Why Law School and it went well, I think. They're not trying to trip you up at all.CitrusFruit wrote:Advice on how soon to schedule JS1? Thinking the sooner the better for hearing back early.
