I got two of those before I applied - I agree, it's a "minority" thing (whether or not you're URM status)sherealcool wrote:I applied last week. Today I received 3 big ass packets from Stanford including a fee waiver application, lots info on minority organizations, and sample resumes/PS, but no official acceptance letter. I am an AAF with a 169/4.0.
Has this happened to anyone else? wtf does it mean?

If your app has been "submitted for review", does SLS have a history of admitting earlier submissions first? Or does a 01/04/14 submitter like myself have any hope for a January call!

Thanks so much! Will do.MoMettaMonk wrote:Yes contact them. I submitted on 12/29 and the status date is still shown as 12/29. All items on the checklist are checked except for "Study Abroad Transcript (if applicable)". I did study abroad one summer during UG but it did not count towards college credits. Any suggestions? Should I contact SLS admissions?

My battery last a while. It hasn't been charged since yesterday morning, but I'm also not on my phone a lot.wtrc wrote:I bought this nifty little device that is a portable charger and works pretty well for like 18 bucks bc my battery is TTTapplelover wrote:Kind of hard to do in class.barrelofmonkeys wrote:charge your phoneapplelover wrote:

But the awesome daytime weather makes up for that!! I'm lucky to get 36 for a high where I go to school.

Some classrooms only have outlets in the front where the professor and the projector are. The one I'm in now is one of them.scoobers wrote: lol i just bring my charger and charge in class

Apple, FWIW, i think you are doing a great job and it is your prerogative to charge your phone or not.applelover wrote:Some classrooms only have outlets in the front where the professor and the projector are. I'm not pressed to charge my phone, but thank you. If it dies (it's on 4% so that's probably likely) and miss a call, I have voicemail and a working email.bbkk wrote:Plug it into somebody's laptop! hthapplelover wrote:Some classrooms only have outlets in the front where the professor and the projector are. Getting an offer voicemail actually sounds like a sweet deal - you can save it and replay it afterwards.

Most of my offers are on my voicemail because I'm always missing someone's calls. I do replay them from time to time. Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
Oh definitely. I've missed one call completely and another dropped out part way through so I've got a couple voicemail messages saved. Now, whenever I am in a bad mood, I just replay those messages and I'm happy againbbkk wrote:applelover wrote: I'm not pressed to charge my phone, but thank you.
