Have not heard anything yet. I would hope I will by the end of today, considering they're expecting a deposit tomorrowbulawm wrote:LLS said I have the highest partial scholarship they have and they can't offer any more money (96k) anyone else hear something similar?

Are you going to hand deliver your deposit? You know it has to be received tomorrow and not just postmarked, right?unclepete wrote:Have not heard anything yet. Yeah, I know. I have it in writing though that they would get back to me regarding the scholarship info before deposit deadline. I wrote them an email last night asking if I'd be hearing back or if I should plan on putting a deposit down either way. I`ll drive over there on my lunch if I have to (Santa Monica/Westwood ---> Downtown. Ugh)CO2016YEAH wrote:Are you going to hand deliver your deposit? Do they stack sections? I read somewhere that they stack all the scholly kids in a section and that about half of them will have to lose their scholarships.

That's quite depressing.ManoftheHour wrote:Do they stack sections? I read somewhere that they stack all the scholly kids in a section and that about half of them will have to lose their scholarships.
Has anyone had any luck this cycle or last with removing stips?

I read in a thread called "loyola 3l taking questions that they do not stack. I've heard from a few other students as well that from what they've heard the scholarships seem pretty spread out.ManoftheHour wrote:Do they stack sections? A rep at the preview day stated that they DO NOT stack sections. She went on to say that they distribute students into sections that maintain a similar representation of the class as a whole -- she mentioned lsat, gpa, socio economic, and ethnicity as some of the factors that go into it.ManoftheHour wrote:Do they stack sections? Just withdrew. Tough choice. Opens up a Public Interest Scholars spot for someone though. Had 30k a year plus $500 stipend a year with 2.33 stip.

tough choice, but ultimately chose Loyola with a full-ride over a T20 school. negotiated up from 96k->full ride, but couldn't get the stips waived. See you all in the fall and GL to those waiting!

Looks like I'm going in the fall! Will be a evening student though, so I hope to see some of you in the fall!
I got a small increase in my scholly offer, not as much as I had hoped, but I'm content.

I applied for the evening program as well. How did you find out? Snail mail?redmessengerbag wrote:Looks like I'm going in the fall! Will be a evening student though, so I hope to see some of you in the fall!

Finally received my decision in the mail yesterday. Does scholly info usually come within the admit packet?
No mention of it in mine and if so it'll be thanks but no thanks.

It was the second paragraph of the admit letter for me. I believe it was the same for others. You might be able to negotiate, or they might come to you with some after the second deposit deadline in June if people drop off. I have no real insight into whether or not this will happen; I'm merely speculating.onionskin wrote:Finally received my decision in the mail yesterday. Congrats on the admit, though!

Did anyone get an email regarding the Law Start program, with the first "homework" assignment attached, but never sign up for their optional "Law Start Program"?
I did.. writing an email now to try to clear things up.

Isn't that the point of the program? To prepare you for law school? How can you prepare w/o homework? The whole point of the program is that they give you feedback on the work you do so you know what you're doing right/wrong before law school starts.fab wrote:got that email. deleted it after i saw the word "homework". are you kidding me? you're not enticing me to come with homework.
