Can we all wait for a confirmed JS2 before we freak out?

For all we know it was the dude's dentist.

A couple months ago I got a call from 203 that turned out to be the pizza delivery guy.

I've been freaking out consistently since I submitted my app in september...at this point I'm just on autopilot

I didnt catch the "i'll bet" at the beginning of this, so I read this as "relax guys, it was just his dentist" and lold. Haha, im not really freaking out till someone confirms a JS2

I got a call from 617 on Friday that my cellphone even listed as Cambridge the other day. Started freaking out and thinking I had missed an e-mail about a JS1. Same deal.

after that looong ass weekend it will be really annoying if nothing happens today....cuz it means we would have to wait till at least Wednesday.

Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday. If we don't hear today, it probably means that those interviewing this week are being included in our "JS1 -> Admit?" pile from last week's interviews.

I think they have a Lazy Mondays policy. Kind of like Casual Fridays, but more annoying

Yea. Harvard has definitely chillaxed during Mondays this cycle. I expect calls on Wed and/or Thurs since interviews are tomorrow. This should be a fun wait...

Optimistically, maybe JS is making calls while KB is interviewing tomorrow?

I doubt it because I'm pretty sure I was on speaker when I had my interview (meaning KB might've been in the room).

I still don't get why they wait till the last minute minute. At the end of today it will be a week since my JS1....this is ridiculous

I would be able to handle it better if I wasn't leaving for new York next Wednesday. If I decided to/got in I could still move to Boston from NYC but I'm stressed about the money and logistics just thinking about it. I hope we hear one way or the other this week.

I also wish I knew you guys IRL so i could stop checkin this thread and just hear when something finally happened via text, lol

My thoughts are two-fold:

1) Perhaps the pulls from the waitlist is much larger this year than in past years. I think this is true based upon the large number of TLS people who have already received JS1s. Therefore they need more time to do the interviews and make the decisions. They did the JS1s without full knowledge of everything in order to contact those students who were of the highest priority for them.

2) JS2s might not be totally automatic this year like they were in years past. Perhaps they are making decisions as to who to make the first round of JS2s offers to.

Or, JS just DGAF and is taking her sweet time to make her decisions!
