Honestly though, applicant threads are not the place to be doing this.

Re: IOWA 2012
Dude, I'm not a 0L. I graduated from Iowa a long time ago and now work at baker and mckenzie. I was actually in the bottom 5% but got a job offer upon graduation. I am loaded now. I am actually the fourth-largest annual donor to the law school. This is indisputable proof to all the prospective students that anyone from Iowa can get a job. Hell, it is such a good school even the bottom of the class can get NLJ 250 if they want. The only reason stats say 12% is self-selection. ONLY self-selection. Anyone from Iowa who wants biglaw get it. ANYONE. Trust me. I graduated from Iowa in the class of '91.itsbenryl wrote:Yeah, right. You're the top 5% but you're a 0L? You're really an arrogant loser. Good luck with the self delusions, pal. Let us know after your first semester how this works out for you.

You're a liar. There is no one at B&M from Iowa class of '91. It's so easy to disprove you it's laughable.

Dude, get your facts straight. What the hell is B&M? I work at Latham and Watkins. And I graduated class of '95.itsbenryl wrote:You're a liar. There is no one at B&M from Iowa class of '91. It's so easy to disprove you it's laughable.
And in regards to your Iowa negativity, I actually just heard (from a credible inside source) that Iowa will bump into the T14 this year. They were unsure where it would fall, but they said it would for sure be in there. So your initial point is proven false. Iowa=T14. T14=limitless opportunity and success. Therefore, Iowa=limitless opportunity and success. It is indisputable logic. Trust me, I'm a lawyer.

I wouldn't work outside the Midwest if they gave me the presidency.itsbenryl wrote:Bullshit. 0L and have a job offer from B&M? You're lying. No one, but no one coming out of Iowa below the top 5% is getting a job outside the midwest. Period.

Is that why you turned down the Supreme Court appointment? Word has it that once the Obama administration got wind that you had been accepted to IOWA LAW, they offered one to you.Opie wrote:I wouldn't work outside the Midwest if they gave me the presidency.itsbenryl wrote:Bullshit. 0L and have a job offer from B&M? Yep. I asked them to move it to Old Capitol, but that douche Clarence wouldn't have it. Something about tradition. I think he's just a Drake fan personally.shredderrrrrr wrote:Is that why you turned down the Supreme Court appointment? Lol what a dick. I'm assuming you were trying to get them to move to the Old Capital Mall, correct? That is the only place in Iowa City that I can imagine housing the United States Supreme Court. Besides, ever since Planet X left, it has been in the need of some tenants.Opie wrote:Yep. I asked them to move it to Old Capitol, but that douche Clarence wouldn't have it. Oh yeah, that's the one. I thought it would be great to be able to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings every day, an we could sell cool SCOTUS stuff at UniversiTees.shredderrrrrr wrote: Lol what a dick. MTal is a "mega-poster" on here that has a demeanor much like imbenyrl.

Hang in there, had a handful of prelim waitlisters get in last year. From what I know, first one that was admitted was in mid March, last waitlister admitted was August 11.

Thanks! I couldn't tell if I was being trolled hard or if he was honestly being serious.I appreciated your commentary. Good work.

The guy just opened his account and the few posts he has are just asshole comments. Something tells me he is either a moron looking to get a rise out of people or a failed law school student with built-up resentment.

Lol classic. Once they got sick of BWWs, they could always hit up the Sbarro. And I heard Ginsburg was partial to the idea once she heard there was a Gamerz in the mall.Opie wrote:Oh yeah, that's the one. Truth. Ginsburg has like 100 hours logged on Skyrim, and she totally talks trash on MW3. I had to mute her, because it was getting out of hand.shredderrrrrr wrote:Lol classic.
