Well that's the end of my cycle...Good luck to everyone still waiting.
I was UR since 10/26Elendil wrote:Sorry to hear that... mind sharing dates?
Aw, thanks. In all fairness, I have still checked my status checker daily since Wednesday for the infamous DSL.splbagel wrote:Voice of wisdom.jetissent wrote:I'm pretty sure the way most people handle this is by just assuming we're all rejected until otherwise notified. Haha, me too. At this point Stanford is the only school I'm waiting on, and a right-out rejection would almost be a relief so that I can really get cracking on the question of sticker at HLS with awesome LRAP vs significant aid somewhere equally awesome but with a less-flexible LRAP. Ahhhh, first world problems...jetissent wrote:Aw, thanks. I'm wondering this too. But I think all the DLS recipients so far have been September/October submits, so maybe they just haven't gotten to us yet.WhiteGuy5 wrote:So...I haven't been following this thread because I don't even think I have a slight chance, and didn't bother. But if we applied early November-ish and we didn't get a DLS status today, is that indicative of anything...what's the word...magnificent?
True, back to ignoring this thread =).poe wrote:I'm wondering this too. Seems like it just means you haven't been rejected at this point. Certainly better than getting the status change, but given the blackbox nature of stanford I don't think you can begin to assume anything but that.WhiteGuy5 wrote:So...I haven't been following this thread because I don't even think I have a slight chance, and didn't bother. Pretty much this. Based on last year's (epically long) thread, Stanford can hold on to applications for 6+ months so you just gotta avoid the DLS waves and hope for the call.FryBreadPower wrote:Seems like it just means you haven't been rejected at this point. As far as I've heard, no more than having gone to a peer UG (e.g. HYP).kuddlykoala wrote:Does having a Stanford undergrad diploma give an applicant an edge?

Yup, that's normal. It doesn't mean anything - everyone's status checker switches to "submitted for review" once they're complete. Best of luck!explorergirl wrote:Hello all! I'm late in joining the Stanford hopefuls (problems getting the Dean's statement made this app much later than all the others...) but just wondering- I finally got the status checker today and it already says submitted for review. Is that normal for Stanford, and does it mean I can expect to hear back sometime soon? I'm assuming rejection, but at least it would be nice to know right away...

It's normal, mine went under review the day it was complete!explorergirl wrote:Hello all! Does that mean you're rejected when your status changes to DLS? I mean, do those that get in get a different status? I'm wondering because I know that they give you a phone call when you get in, but I'm currently backpacking in Asia and my phone does not always have reception so it's possible if they try calling me that it wouldn't work.. so I'm wondering if it's possible to get DLS and still be in even if they can't get a hold on you on phone!ralph_pootawn wrote:got the rejection in the mail today after switching to DLS a few days ago. I was unreachable by phone when I got in. I got an email from Dean Deal the next day. My status checker changed to (and still says) DLS.backwards54 wrote:Does that mean you're rejected when your status changes to DLS? I mean, do those that get in get a different status?
