I won't be in until later Thursday. But maybe we should all try to go to law revue together. That should be fun!

TLS CLS/NYU ASW #2 Survey
Form: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewfor ... Q0dhRmc6MQ
Results: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key ... y=CK_hnpQC
So, here's an update: 32 (wow!) of you guys signed up to meet-up this week in the Big Apple.
I am in the process of making arrangements so that we can all meet on Thursday.
I will be sending a private PM to those who RSVP'd tonight, so be on look.
If you don't get the message, or didn't sign up until much later, send me a PM
and I will happily text you all of the details.

Only two more hours until I leave for the airport. God, I hate flying. I am stuck in New Jersey on Thursday, but I hope to meet some of you on Friday!

I'd really like to have a way to identify the TLS crowd while I'm there. This sucks

Hi. I'm a 2L, and I just wanted to pop in to say that if Bryan Stevenson is speaking at all during ASW events, you should go.

Do NOT try to use a secret catchphrase as your identifier at ASW. We tried this last time, and all that happened pretty much was thecilent yelling "PENGUIN" fifty times during Crim Law

Re: In at NYU
Yeah it was probably more than 50, and more than just at Crim Law. That said, it did work with one person... but he didn't even say "penguin" to that person, he just asked if they were on TLS and said he'd been yelling "penguin" all day and the guy goes "Oh yeah! I saw that post the other day."incompetentia wrote:Do NOT try to use a secret catchphrase as your identifier at ASW. Re: In at NYU
Hi,
I can't get through to the financial aid office, and I'm stuck with a few questions.
It seems that the FAFSA form is due tomorrow 4/1. Yet, to do it (when I go to Apply - under the Fed loans part of the Fin Aid website), it says takes me to a page that says that I need to:
1) Officially accept the loans with the NYU Office of Financial Aid via ALBERT.
2) Electronically sign your Master Promissory Note.
3) Complete Entrance Counseling (Stafford Loan and Graduate PLUS Loan borrowers only).
But I haven't decided to attend NYU, so I don't have access to ALBERT (which requires an NYU net ID), so how can I fill out this FAFSA form by April 1st?
I think I'm doing something wrong. All I want to do is fill out the FAFSA before the deadline. Can someone please enlighten me?? (I already filled out the Need Access form a while a ago, and I've was given my financial aid offer - no grants - a few weeks ago).
I would really really appreciate anyone's help!

Thanks! I just filled out the FAFSA with NYU's school code. If I did it right, this process is a lot simpler than I thought!c_dubya_s wrote: The FAFSA is at http://fafsa.ed.gov

Has anyone had any luck negotiating with NYU? I sent them a request but they said that I had to 1st fill out the finanical aid form. When i told them that I had already done so, they said that it takes 10 days to process.
Staying in NY is my 1st choice, but unless I get something signifcant from NYU I cannot justify the debt.

My fin aid has been under review since the end of February (sent all the forms in the end of Jan)-10 days would be nice.BrightLine wrote:Has anyone had any luck negotiating with NYU?
