Go for it. I've been watching this thread (that sounds creepy) and the suspense is killing me.Adjudicator wrote:I was thinking about it. Should I really do this?rs2004 wrote:maybe you can call them up and ask for it over the phone since it was already mailed.Adjudicator wrote:My status checker says the decision letter was sent 2/10, but obviously it was not sent that long ago, if at all, because I only live 4 miles from the school and I have not yet received it.![]()
Why does this process have to be so excruciating?

Went IR today with File Complete 1/18. What's the average turn around time here?

This is no exaggeration. I am probably going to withdraw because I've now reached retirement age waiting to hear back from them, so I don't really need that whole career thing anymore.please... wrote:upfish wrote:PinkCow wrote:please... wrote:Went IR today with File Complete 1/18. Haha, that original post from 'please...' made me chuckle. Yeah, mostly because if it were bad news, I think it would become an extremely awkward moment.rs2004 wrote:so you decided to wait it out?Adjudicator wrote:I submitted on October 2nd, IR on 12/1. "No."

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
lol I have a feeling this is why in the past they've been sometimes willing to tell people who call in that they got in, but say it has to come in the mail for the others. It's great to be able to say "Welcome to UW!"... Probably not so fun to say "Um yeah... uh... Well... Check the mail."Adjudicator wrote:Yeah, mostly because if it were bad news, I think it would become an extremely awkward moment.rs2004 wrote:so you decided to wait it out?Adjudicator wrote:I submitted on October 2nd, IR on 12/1. +1 for still IR 1/21, no mailings. UW admissions sends all decisions for undergrads during the same week in March, but I guess law school admissions likes to have some fun with their applicants.

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
I'm not sure if this is consistent across status checkers, but at several of the schools I've applied to, when the Current Status went "Decision Rendered" or what have you, you could tell whether or not you had an acceptance/rejection on your way based on the 'Requirements List' section of the checker...basically, if rather than your resume, personal statement, etc. it had first deposit and other such cues.
I've got a decision letter mailed as of today...but my requirements are unchanged.
Anyone know more? I'm fearing for the worst (i.e.- waitlist/rejection) based on this.

And somehow, despite it all, I'm about as sedate as you can be about this whole process. Jazz works wonders.

Folks--don't want to add to our collective anxiety but I noticed a new update on my status page. It now says Decision 2/15/2011. I was in the IR 1/21 and Mailings 2/10 group (still haven't received anything)--anyone else in that group have the decision notification up now?
I'm not optimistic. February 15 was the first batch of rejects last year.

My status checker says Decision 2/15/2011 and my envelope was postmarked 2/11 and I was accepted. Hope this eases your anxiety a little.mudduck wrote:Folks--don't want to add to our collective anxiety but I noticed a new update on my status page. It now says Decision 2/15/2011. If only I was joking
I'm heading over to Seattle this weekend to get some bubble tea and Pike Street in, but I'm gonna check out the law school too. Maybe I'll take some pics and post for you guys. Probably not. But, maybe.

Edit: in other words will I know what it is when I open my mailbox?
