Don't get too down. I submitted 9/6 and just heard back today.

Does your status checker not reflect any mailings?

My status checker doesn't show any mailings, but it did show up on my admitted site mailing list.

Yeah I tried that whole log into admitted students page thing and yeah DIDN'T WORK but hopefully that'll change soon.

But I'm not bitter, at least not yet, congrats to everyone who has gotten in so far though!

Well where do the people who went complete on 10/26 and were accepted today live? Could it be that west coast people take a day longer to log into admitted students/get a packet?

No, this makes absolutely zero sense. Sorry, but if you got reviewed and accepted you would be able to access the site. At this point, you are not in. Neither am I.

If you are on the West Coast, they send the packet before they update your status and let you into the website.

It's one of those situations where you want to run up to them and be like "Look-- you forgot to send me an admissions package!! see it's me!! you remember me! You wanted to admit me, you just forgot. It's okay. You can just give me my package now:)"

So far has michigan sent out their rejections via e-mail or snail mail? As a member of the 10/26 group who couldn't get onto the admitted student's website I'm trying to figure out if this means I could be rejected or not.

To my knowledge, neither.



It looks like they don't do rejections until January...

Well correct me if I'm wrong but all of the admits today came from the fact that a handful of people figured out that you can figure out if you got in by logging into the admitted student's website. Had they not figured that out they would have received their admits on different days making it seem less like a wave.

True story, esp because I think some mentioned getting the packet already and some have not. Thanks for that!

Let me just make sure, the latest completion date for acceptances so far is 10/26 (first complete date) right?

So I shouldn't bother trying to the admitted students website if I first went complete ~1 week after that right?

It looks like they don't do rejections until January...

They don't do rejections until January, BUT you should only worry if you don't hear back by the end of 2010 if you applied in October. According to last year's LSN information, if you applied in October (in all but two cases) you got accepted before then, but then with November applications some acceptances do come later.

& waitlists don't come until February.
