Re: UCLA? 2011
Was fortunate enough to get a call on Tuesday with offer of significant merit aid -- he even apologized for it taking so long! Submitted 11/8, complete 11/16.
Numbers above both 75ths with strong softs. FWIW, applied for Epstein Program as well, but he didn't mention anything about that.
Good luck to everybody still waiting! My impression from speaking to folks who have applied in the past is that they take a long time to get back to you, even with a strong application...so try not to stress about it!

I wish! I asked my boyfriend and he was just like nope, it was good news but not THAT good lol. It's still early and there's always the possibility of negotiating later, so I'm happy with the acceptance.T6Hopeful wrote:You sure you didn't dream about any?leopardRAWR wrote:So funny story...I wake up from my afternoon nap thinking I had this crazy dream where I answered the phone in the middle of my nap to find Dean Schwartz calling to tell me I was in at UCLA. I was laughing about how I dreamed I rambled at a million miles an hour about LA and how excited I was and just generally made a bit of an idiot of myself. Then my boyfriend laughs at me and says no, that really happened.
Called a couple hours ago. GPA at median, LSAT at 75th. No merit aid offered in the call. Congrats everyone, and good luck to those still waiting!

your numbers seem pretty solid for UCLA, even better for Berkeleyglitter178 wrote:i was complete 11/10. starting to worry ....aredhello wrote:Was fortunate enough to get a call on Tuesday with offer of significant merit aid -- he even apologized for it taking so long! got the acceptance email today. Says that they are willing to match other offers for financial aid. So, if UCLA doesn't offer you anything on the phone call but USC, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, etc. do, start negotiating.

Does UCLA ding/WL via email or snail mail or both?
For those wondering, calls are the way to go for acceptances (310 #) scholarship info usually mentioned in call, if any.

So if I haven't gotten a phone call by now, does that mean I was likely dinged?

Have most of the acceptances been sent out? For October applicants, if we didn't hear back by now are we SOL?
