I didn't notice until today, as I haven't been checking my status thingy (the status thingy makes me anxious).
I'm ED and it took me almost two months to go under review after submitting in late September.
Phew! That makes me feel a little better!

Just saw this.. I would actually really hate this. I love my parents but I dislike people telling them my business-- I IZ GROWN!

(Banks: that means you. Please stop notifying my parents if there is an issue with my account. Please stop letting them cash checks in my name.)

That seems like an egregious breach of privacy...

Meh, I feel that since the applicant put down his legacy status, it's not that egregious. Sort of like a "welcome to the NYU family" kind of gesture.

I'll be honest. NYU could call my entire extended family before they called me, and I'd still be ecstatic.

I got a fortune today while eating lunch with my mom that said "A happy surprise is arriving soon by mail. What are you hoping for?". I would love for it to be an acceptance form NYU! It would be a surprise, too, because my numbers are certainly nowhere near auto-admit status. Hoping....
