I really hope we haven't seen the last of the acceptances...

Good luck, I still have hope for all of us. I assume that WL is as good as I can expect being that I assume few e-mails are left.dailykosak wrote:traehekat wrote:Sorry to heardailykosak wrote:Waitlisted today: NC Resident, 162, 3.57 UNC undergrad CO 2000.. awww, don't cry for me Argentina. UNC is still my top choice for a number of reasons (academic, personal and practical), so I'll definitely stay on the waitlist until they close it. I've got my LOCI written and am walking it over to the LS this afternoon.
please do let us know.lml09 wrote:dailykosak wrote:Waitlisted today: NC Resident, 162, 3.57 UNC undergrad CO 2000.
No! I'm sorry to hear that!! I emailed UNC for stats about last years waitlist and am waiting to hear back. Will post what I find out.
Is there an "in committee" point? I've been complete since 12/18 and haven't heard a peep.pandapanda wrote:Nothing here either, I think this may be the week though. I wonder how long it takes from the "in committee" point? I'm OOS though too, so mail always seem so slow!
same here. i'm dying inside and wondering if i should brave an inquisitive phone call.Lost in Eden wrote:Is there an "in committee" point? I've been complete since 12/18 and haven't heard a peep.
i called. they said that my file is complete (which is has been since mid-december), that it has not yet been looked at, and that i should receive a reply by may 1. (oos, gpa around 25%, lsat around 75%)MarkRenton wrote:Let's draw straws to see who calls.

Thanks! May 1st... Wow. I applied sort of late so I guess I'm waiting too. Really wish I would have sent apps out immediately.brittainyb wrote:i called. they said that my file is complete (which is has been since mid-december), that it has not yet been looked at, and that i should receive a reply by may 1. beats nothing, but time to start developing those contingency plans. thanks for letting us know.lml09 wrote:Got an email back from UNC about the waitlist. Last year, over 350 people chose to stay on the waitlist. They accepted 23 off of it.
Not very encouraging....

Woah, this is strange. Has anyone received notification of an acceptance via phone? I think almost everyone has been via email. ALSO, if she said end of the week or next week, perhaps this means another round of acceptances coming out soon?idylls wrote:I'm still waiting to hear as well. I called the offices today and was told that my application is currently under review and I should receive a decision either end of the week or next week. I asked what method they'd use - she said "the dean will call you or you'll receive a letter." I'm assuming the call is for the "yes" and the letter is for the "no."
I only applied to UNC and Campbell and heard from Campbell yesterday with a "yes." I won't know about $$$ from them until next week.
Now there's a charge.
