No! I'm sorry to hear that!! I emailed UNC for stats about last years waitlist and am waiting to hear back. Will post what I find out.

UNC is still my top choice for a number of reasons (academic, personal and practical), so I'll definitely stay on the waitlist until they close it. I've got my LOCI written and am walking it over to the LS this afternoon.

Someone on LSN got in off the waitlist last year, but it was in August.

I really wish people on LSN would update their profiles after they get waitlisted!!!

I think there is no clear methodology to it. I applied Feb 10 just because i got a fee waiver and was admitted last friday.

Been following the forums for a while but never posted.

UNC was one of my top choices, and I was notified via snail mail of a decision to place me on the waitlist last Friday. In state, 161, 3.57 gpa, very successful in unique major, internship with state senator, class council member, and other decent softs.

Got offered over $90k from Elon, so I'll probably be going there. Their preceptor program, moot court competition results, and recently released employment stats make me feel a little more secure about the potential for success of the program at Elon by the time I will graduate.

Got an email back from UNC about the waitlist. Last year, over 350 people chose to stay on the waitlist. They accepted 23 off of it.

I'm still waiting to hear as well. I called the offices today and was told that my application is currently under review and I should receive a decision either end of the week or next week. I asked what method they'd use - she said "the dean will call you or you'll receive a letter." I'm assuming the call is for the "yes" and the letter is for the "no."

I only applied to UNC and Campbell and heard from Campbell yesterday with a "yes." I won't know about $$$ from them until next week.

Woah, this is strange. Has anyone received notification of an acceptance via phone? I think almost everyone has been via email. ALSO, if she said end of the week or next week, perhaps this means another round of acceptances coming out soon?
