Isn't there an "Admitted at Columbia" thread all you ASWers can go to? All these new posts that have nothing to do with whether there's been any movement on those of us still waiting...

I haven't been admitted, and at this point in the cycle I find these conversations to be very relevant to people still waiting for a decision. If those of us still waiting end up getting accepted, we will have to make a decision about whether or not to attend fairly quickly.

Any idea when "holds" might hear back? I think I saw a post earlier about 4/10 being the day last year when holds got decisions.

Some have been accepted. But most of us are still waiting... I don't remember what last year's timeline was but that sounds about right.

It seems like those accepted were held pretty early though. A lot of us got holds in the last 2-3 weeks.

doesn't the email give you a date? IIRC it was something like 4/22...which if you look at LSN from last year there were a ton of decisions around the same time. I'm not holding my breath.

one thing about asw i forgot to mention - columbias dean, nkonye i think is her name, seemed very nice although a little meek. she was wandering around all the time answering questions and generally appearing to be sweet. i liked how accessible she was

We don't know conclusively yet. Supposedly they're giving holds a more thorough review and letting "more" in due to the batch that recently got in. Who knows though....

I asked them to expedite my financial aid because of the NYU deadline.

I was thinking more along the lines of pre-January submits, since we were supposed to've received a decision by the end of March, but ya January sucks too

Have you called them about that yet with the exact wording on their website? Cuz that's just ridiculous, especially when they say you should've heard.
