I told you so!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!! If Iowa throws me money, I'm going for sure (depending on LSAT score), if not I'll put a deposit down and wait out the wait list at W&L, Vandy, UMN, and ND. Who knows!

Will I see you at ASW in March? I've already booked my hotel and I'm really pumped! We should meet up for drinks!

I don't know if I'm going to ASW yet. It really depends on Friday's UIUC decision, because if for some reason Dean Pless decides he wants to let me into his school I will throw all other apps out the window, accept immediately, and thank him profusely for being so generous. As is though, Iowa is the favorite. If I do go, we should totally meet up for drinks! I can't wait! I'm really excited to have good options actually!

Thank you for the congrats, Pearl and Jerome!

So what is everyone up to in the optimism boat today?

I'm very sorry to hear that Robin! :( It's a bad day, a very bad day, but you have to remember that it can be fixed. It'll take time and possibly some money, (which sucks), but it'll get fixed and everything will go on as usual.

Nice to see this thread pop back up... there's still hope left in this cycle :D
... personally, I'm hoping for a nice scholarship from Georgetown. And for some successful negotiations with some other offers.

This was my optimistic thought this morning: I have been kind of bummed about a couple of WL that I thought I had a good shot at, but I was reading posts from people who have been outright rejected from those schools who had much better numbers than mine. It made me think that maybe they really liked my PS to have kept me in the pool.

That's exactly right, you were good in some other aspect. Everyone can get the numbers, not everyone can have a good app.

Woof, thanks for reviving this thread, I'm wallowing in sleepless UR stress from my few remaining reaches in wake of a string of WLs.
