Jerome, did I see you lurking around the Iowa and/or MN thread/s?Jerome wrote:I have the feeling that this was discussed somewhere in the thread, but I am hesitant to look through almost 40 pages to find out - is there any possibility of a non-resident getting resident tuition their second and third years?

SOBs! I was WL'ed at MN and I was pretty dead-set on going there (even to the point of re-taking and re-applying) but I deposited at Iowa and am pretty happy about it. That said, I'm staying on MN's WL unless I decide on Iowa or Wisc. for sure...Jerome wrote: Both. Then MN rejected me. Bastards. Probably going to IA.

Point is, I still don't know where i'm going...

I also deposited at Iowa. Unless Wisconsin throws me some money (which I think has the same likelihood as me winning the lotto) I'll be at Iowa...probably. The acceptance definitely throws a wrench into the equation.Slimpee wrote:SOBs! We'll see though. I liked Iowa a lot, it is ranked well (for whatever that is worth), places well, is near my fiance (relatively speaking) and seems to be a genuinely cool place. But I am a city guy. But Iowa will be cheaper, barring great aid from Wisconsin. AGH!

Not unless you spend a year in Wisconsin prior to taking any classes. Yeah, it sucks.

Tvink, we seem to have similar numbers. What are your numbers, lawcycle? From what I saw people with a high LSAT score got in today.tvink wrote:

In off the WL today, sent a LOCI two weeks ago. Elated. I couldn't justify spending money on Penn State & DePaul, but I definitely can for Wisconsin.

I have a feeling UW sees a 163/164 median as possible and is going for it with the WL. I could be way off, but judging on LSN, that seems to be a legitimate possibility.

ITT: We see the results of Wisconsin Law adcoms seeing the benefits of median whoring (manifested just a few days ago via the US News rankings) and tacitly admitting that it's a good idea for the school.Panther7 wrote:Kitzhof wrote:Tvink, we seem to have similar numbers. I wish I could give one of you my 164 to get off the WL. Each time im about to start writing my LOCI, i hesitate because im so tired of enduring winters in the cold midwest. I love the wisconsin, but hate winter, so I dont know if the below average QOL for me is worth it..... The warm winters of NC are calling my name
