bwahaha, i've been pending review/decision since 10/05. no change, just 10/05 chillin there saying hi, i'm here to stay. i'm looking at a fat WL anyway, so i guess i'm not in a huge hurry

So I realize that this likely means nothing, but my File Complete, Pending Review/Decision date just changed from 10/14 to 12/07. It kinda gave me a little heart attack to see something different on the status checker.

Well, I thought I remembered from earlier in this particular thread that for UVA, the date change hasn't really shown a pattern of meaning anything. But, I guess, to me, it at least shows me that I have not been forgotten about! haha. I didn't submit anything new recently.

It's basically what everyone else's is...so there's no way to tell if it's good or bad. There's almost absolutely no point in checking the UVA status checker.

Last year my status checker didn't update past "pending review/decision" until after I got the E-mail asking me to call. You'll know a decision was made when you get it.

I submitted my application Saturday evening and got the email with the status checker login information Monday morning. My status still says "Application Received", not "Completed" (everything is in). Should I email/call them tomorrow? Seems like most people's change the same day as the receipt....

I applied to UVA in early November and didn't get accepted until... it was late January, I think. Good things can come to those who wait. Don't give up hope yet, guys.

EDIT: I just went and looked up the dates for you guys. I got an E-mail confirming receipt of my admission on Nov. 11, and the E-mail that led to my acceptance on Jan. 29. That's two and a half months. They don't always move quickly.

Is this what people have been getting before they hear they're accepted? I didn't get the message until after business hours, and I'll call tomorrow, but I'm just wondering how high to get my hopes at this stage. Are people being asked to call for other reasons?
