Same here. I was IR 1/11 (though it said 12/22 for some reason) and it switched to 1/20 today.

So many people on this forum are from SD... TheWire, I didn't know you were actually at UCSD now. Fall was my last quarter so now I'm lying around in North County with my parents.

If you didn't get a Rothman invite, can you kiss your acceptance letter goodbye?
My status has been "Complete" since 12/11, and I'm going crazy.

It often takes them up to eight weeks.

No Rothman for me either... I was complete as of 10/26 and "In Review" not until 01/08. You're probably going to be waiting for a while... I called admissions a week ago, and they told me to be patient as they extend offers all the way through AUGUST. Yes, August.

I wouldn't say so...the Rothman invite is for the more extreme high achievers, so they still need people from their normal median range. They can't give the invite to more than what...5% of the applicants? 10?
Complete since then isn't so terrible. I've been In Review since then. We're all back from the holidays expecting decisions and they're just taking a while. It'll be ok.

Just noticed I went DF 1/19. I'm only two states away from Cali, hopefully it won't take too long for the letter to get here.

For the sole reason of satisfying my own curiosity (because I never seriously considered applying), is there only one Rothman scholar per year? Or are there multiple, like for Darrows/Hamiltons, etc.?

One I believe. Full tuition + guaranteed summer internship if I remember correctly.

Yup. Summer "internship" is a paid 1L gig at a firm. For Class of 2011 it was Skadden. I don't know if it changes firms. It might not.

I think mail has been really slow lately...I'm reading in other forums about people receiving letters 6 days after they were sent. I received a piece of mail yesterday that was marked "deliver by 1/18"

Went IR yesterday 1/21. Really hoping for the best. USC is my #1 but I'm the definition of a borderline candidate

I was in the mysterious 1/19 mailing group and got a packet today in the mail with a couple of welcome letters and a USCLaw magazine. Slightly confused though since the dates an deadlines section mentions an enclosed form that is def not enclosed... I'm in LA btw.

I was IR 1/11 then switched to 12/22 as well but I have remained at 12/22. Strange strange.
