Go spend a day at each of the schools to figure out where would be a best fit for you. If you don't care about money, I'd definitely choose NYU. Job prospects, prestige, and all that are going to be better at NYU, but if you find out you like BU a lot and you have almost full-tuition paid, that could be a good deal for you, too.subtle wrote:Help! I know that my decision is ultimately up to me, but I like you guys and would like your input:
Barring a game changer (Yale, Harvard, Columbia--which are far-fetched, I know) I am leaning heavily toward NYU. But, I just got my acceptance packet from BU in the mail, and they're offering $35K per year. I don't really want to go to school for money. (I turned down where I really wanted to go for undergrad in order to go to Michigan because they gave me money, and, while I didn't hate Michigan, I regret my choice.) But, I don't know how to justify turning down money.
Thoughts?
I just withdrew from a few schools yesterday and I felt that it was so hard to let the money go. However, it's much easier to do after you make a visit and decide how much you like the school and how much you like the school's location. Good luck!
