I really don't think we can know, or that we'd have much reason to expect that. At the risk of sounding pessimistic, I think we should all assume there won't be another wave at this point before the Tues/Weds spots. Out of curiosity, can someone with access to the scheduler see if more slots have filled up?

As of right now, 8 left Tuesday, 3 left Wednesday. Reminder: we have no idea if multiple interviews are conducted simultaneously or if the number of time slots available was greater than the number of students invited to interview.

Did your invite email come from the same JD admissions address that has been sending communications so far, out of curiosity? Slash is the scheduler through the status check website?

Same email address.
Yes, I think - at least it looks the same. Too lazy to check whether the URLs are similar (same domain, etc.) slash I don't want you to try any funny business OR drive yourself crazy looking for some sort of clue on the status checker website that you'll be getting a JS1 (I know how TLS people think) so I will not confirm lol

So did this last wave of invites mostly go out to international applicants?

lol I mean I would not do that; moral objections aside, I'm far too technologically inept. I was asking mainly out of curiosity, but also because in the back of my head I did think about the infinitesimally small chance that an email went to my university email address and somehow didn't get forwarded to my personal email. There aren't any updates on my status checker, so if it was recorded there for you that eliminates any doubts.
To answer the above, it seems the invites were mostly sent to international students (but based on a very small sample for what it's worth).

Sorry if I'm a bit naive, but Harvard said just last week that they won't begin reviewing the waitlist until late May. Yet they are sending out JS1s. Can anyone resolve this discrepancy?

They lied or changed their minds or sent the first email erroneously or won't make final decisions until sometime later, even though they're getting started with JS1s now or want to keep us guessing.
No matter the reason, they are forgiven, because Harvard.

I think "reviewing the waitlist" means "taking people off of it to fill spots"... Offering JS1s I imagine is them trying to get as much info as possible for when they make the picks in late May.

Late May? Noooo... Harvard, everyone's waiting on you to start the waitlist train. What are you doing?

Where did you see this? Is this from the waitlist FAQ, or something more recent?

Sorry, it was columbia who said so just last week. But harvard did say late may in the waitlist letter, i double checked. Thats why i was surprised by the JS1s.

Not sure if that's true re internationals. I will neither confirm nor deny my international status in order to not out myself to lurking adcoms (HI JESSICA)
As for the status checker, my last update was my late March waitlist notice. No update there about the JS1 -- I only got an email.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I've basically just accepted that true anonymity isn't a thing on the interwebs, and if adcoms actually cared enough it would not be terribly difficult to figure out who I was. Actually, let 'em, I feel pretty good about some of my puns recently. Especially that "floats like a butterfly, stings like the pain of rejection" one in response to user "cassiusclay".

I think we'll have a JS2 wave before another JS1. I also think that the next JS1 will be the week of May/21. Just a guess.

I went through the c/o 2018 thread and that's how it worked then ^.
First JS1 wave was week of May 6 (40 slots)
Then a few JS1bs, then a JS2 wave about two weeks later.
Smaller JS1 wave end of May (7 slots)
Sporadic js1/js2 thereafter.

You're welcome to poke through, it's linked in the pinned post here. Can't remember if they came in a wave, but pages 30ish of that thread should answer for you.
