Good question. I'm a UT alum, applied in Jan, got into two top 10 schools in February, just interviewed with another, and still no word from Texas.
Exact same.
Good to see I am not the only one in this situation. If it helps, I have info from a reliable source who said that decisions could well be rolling out through the middle of April.
Wut.
I know! Apparently April admittance isn't that uncommon. I know of at least two people who applied in Jan last year and weren't accepted until mid April.
That's crazy! And they weren't WL'ed first?
Lol I just texted them to make sure! Wanted to make sure I wasn't spreading rumors... They were not waitlisted and they both applied before Christmas. I am not sure about their stats though.

I just got an email too. I was kind of hoping for more for need aid, but I'll take what I can get. Did you see your merit award on there as well? I don't see mine.
Select the Year. Go to Status/Requirements. Click "View My Shopping Sheet." I got about 1/3 of my total aid from state grants. Still low for what I expected from UT, though.
I'm even more confused now. I see more money (slightly more) than I was expecting in grants. I'm not sure if my merit aid is in that total. I'm not even sure if I can use the scholarship total listed as "Other scholarships you can use".
To clarify it shows only my need aid in the section that says grants and scholarships from UT Austin. The other section that I'm not sure I can use shows more money that may or may not include my merit aid.

Total Grants and Scholarships ("Gift" Aid; no repayment needed)$XX,XXX.XX / yr
Grants and Scholarships from UT Austin... $XXX,XXX.XX
Other scholarships you can use... $XXX,XXX.XX
The first line is the total. Second is need-based from the State of Texas I assume. The Third line is the aid that was emailed to us earlier. Each is done by academic year. I'm not sure if the third line is a mix of merit/need, or strictly merit with the second line being need-based. I guess, I don't know who qualified me for the second line, UT-Austin, or the State of Texas itself.
I guess my merit aid went up a bit without solicitation or I was awarded another small scholarship. Quite happy at the moment, but still need more money from UT!

My financial aid notification only shows me having loans, yet I definitely received a scholarship from the school. It doesn't show up at all though. Any idea on why?

How do we find out about merit aid? The financial aid page doesn't indicate anything, but my stats should qualify me for something... I think.

I was afraid of that....all these April seat deposits are already giving me anxiety. Still waiting on responses from like 10 schools.
I hate how UT wants a deposit by April 7th. everywhere else is April 15!
SMU is April 1st! If I stay in Texas, it will likely be SMU or UT. That is if I get into UT, which I want to know by April 1st so I don't end up putting a seat deposit for only a few days later finding out I've been accepted to UT!

Who else is happy about their newfound T14 acceptance?

Anyone else with a pending application concerned that Texas' newfound T14 ranking will make them more conservative with admits?

I don't think UT is offering me anything. They haven't mentioned money at all.

Lets be clear. The phrase T14 is no longer a thing. It is no longer the T14, it is now the T13. Texas is still a great school, but the entire distinction has to change to T13 now.

I mean, good for them but it's going to make it harder to do scholly negotiations when all you really have to compare is a school ranked above 20 :/

Got my financial "aid" notification yesterday. Literally $0... they're the only school I've heard back from that hasn't offered anything. I love you, Texas, but why the hell would I go if you're more expensive AND not ranked as well?

I haven't gotten any email mentioning aid, so I'm unclear if Im being offered $0 of if my aid just hasn't been determined yet.
But yeah it's hard to justify going to UT when I have six figure T20 options since I'm not gung-ho Texas career or anything. (And I don't give a shit about moving from 15 to 14)
I'm totally open to going and living in Austin and Texas, but I need to be bought.

I would actively like to move to Austin, but not six-figures-difference-in-debt actively.

How long ago were you accepted? They usually send out scholly emails 2-3 weeks post acceptance, even if you they don't offer you anything.

Oh okay I should get it soon then. Only on TLS does everyday of waiting feel like a week.
