You're not the only one. I know of at least one other person on the spreadsheet who is below both medians and got a Js1. I'm sure there will be plenty more too!earthabides wrote:I'm below both medians and non-urm and got my JS1. You want to hit a balance, I think. They probably give people some leeway for unlikely careers, because 1) they're Harvard and 2) they know people become a bit more realistic after actually going to law school. Saying that you want Harvard to start you down the path to being judge sounds (to me, a fellow 0L) like it should be alright. Saying you want to be a supreme court justice is kinda first grade-ish. I don't mean that to sound mean.texasellewoods wrote:For the potential "what do you want to do after law school" question, should we have something highly planned out? And how realistic or idealistic should it be? For example, I'm sure some (or most) of us have dreams of being a SCJ one day, but thats not exactly realistic to say as a 0L.

glad im not alone. I wonder if most people accepted below median are only below 1 median or if there is a sizeable portion of people below bothHildegard15 wrote:You're not the only one. I think what you are referring to is a year where storms stopped a lot of people from taking the LSAT, so they accepted later ones that year. Pretty sure the norm is no, they do not.pursuerr wrote:yea I know. I'm just getting my falsified hopes up and up. C'mon I can't be the only one who read their blog saying they accept feb score.

Did you already submit your app with an LSAT score? If you retake in Feb and get a better score (and are waitlisted/still being considered at that point), there'd be nothing to lose and everything to gain if you sent a polite email saying that Harvard is your top choice and asking them if they'd be willing to consider your February score.pursuerr wrote:mujiali wrote:I think what you are referring to is a year where storms stopped a lot of people from taking the LSAT, so they accepted later ones that year. Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
I'm below both medians and am non-URM and I had my interview three weeks ago -- maybe Hilde is referring to me? I have softs that might help explain why I got an interview, but I'm also keeping my expectations incredibly low. My operating theory right now is just that they're interviewing more people this year and it's all a big tease, but I look forward to being proved wrong!Hildegard15 wrote:You're not the only one. Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Thanks. I have a score but it's well below their median. And from their website, I read a Feb score will play no affect to application whatsoever. So... Thanks for your encouraging words, but no Harvard for me. What can I say. Only I am to blame.dumdeedum wrote:Did you already submit your app with an LSAT score?
