Oh I know that they read this website for sure, but I'm not that convinced they check it out daily or even weekly. At any rate, they've got no reason to have to post a "calls finished" tweet every night other than meticulous consistency.tflan19 wrote:There have been a couple of times now that people have commented (at a very late hour) that they haven't tweeted about finishing calls and then a few minutes later, they do. Methinks Asha has push notifications or something about TLS yale thread posts.Interficio wrote:Lol @clovis
They just tweeted about wrapping about late calls... Not wholly unrealistic given that they could still be calling West Coast ppl and more likely to pull late nights at the office since it's the end of the season

Well that was an emotional roller coaster. Can we start keeping track of rejection/wait list waves?

The closing tweet is timestamped 8:42 pm, yet it didn't appear until close to midnight. There is actually a consistent delay of about three hours on all of their tweets. You can see that for any recent tweet, the timestamp will be three hours behind the notification on the main page of how many hours ago it appeared. Some brave person needs to tweet back at them and alert them to this.

There has only been one wave of rejections. There are usually only two in the whole cycle. The next one probably won't be until about 4/15. Waitlists will also all come at that time.hopeful94 wrote:Well that was an emotional roller coaster. Can we start keeping track of rejection/wait list waves?

Not to be a downer, but last year there was also a rejection wave on April 1, followed by the WL and rejects around the 15th. Some of us will be put out of our misery soon enough.clovis wrote:There has only been one wave of rejections. There are usually only two in the whole cycle. Oh that's right, there were two waves and then a third one around the 15th. But this year's first rejection wave was so much later than last year's.mdnyc wrote:Not to be a downer, but last year there was also a rejection wave on April 1, followed by the WL and rejects around the 15th. I hope I get my decision soon, no matter what the result is... I've been complete since early December and Yale's the only school I've been waiting on for about a month now.

I'm pretty sure we'll hear on Friday, since there's historically been a wave around April 1. However, we did have a late first rejection wave (3/12 instead of 2/12), so there's a chance we may not hear until the final wave around April 15.SuperAverageJoe wrote:Does anyone think there will be any more decisions before Friday 4/1 or the weekend? Wondering how many spots are left.

I think that a few of the members are staff + a few current students, but that number likely doesn't total more than 5.

Doesn't sound like too many of those still being held from early in the cycle (including the FR-11 club?) will be admitted this year

Yeah, ouch. I applied pretty late, but still not holding out much hope.Smc1994 wrote:Yikesjm935 wrote:217 members, 28 invitedclovis wrote:Dare we ask for a Facebook update? O god I don't wanna know.

If the facebook group includes people who deferred their admission in previous cycles, would that mean that there are still a bunch more spots? If it's the case that 250-260 new offers are made each year, then there could still be 20+ spots left.

The FB group includes at least one student who deferred. I can't speak to whether it includes all of them.

Last of the Lurkers. Still waiting for Yale, Harvard, and Stanford. Full ride at U Chicago and respectable dollars from Columbia. Never thought I'd have to wait this long.

Same here. Still waiting for H/Y/S. I assume they will probably all be wait lists. Would just like to get this over with. Hopefully by end of week.
