E-mailed about getting my scholarship offer reconsidered, included better offers from peer schools (not geographically, but rank-wise) where I'd have lower debt, etc. Received email that declined to raise their offer two days later.

Edited for clarity.

Who did you email, if you don't mind my asking? Was it the admissions office or financial aid?

On the scholarship letter, they tell you to contact the director of financial aid - http://weblaw.usc.edu/contact/contactIn ... tailID=111

nothing much... I emailed to ask and they said the decision was mailed to me last Friday and I shall wait... so the status only changes after the mail is out, huh? I have this unsettling feeling that it will be a ding...
did you go cr2 may I ask?

I wonder how they decide who they will give $$$ increases to and who they won't.

FYI, it seems registration for Law Day has opened, and they're offering a viewing of one of the football team's practices.

Did they add the "decision status" and "decision status date" in the new format? I don't remember them.

I am starting to think they haven't mailed the decisions yet either. Like some of you, mine went to "decision finalized" on 3/4/15. And I only live 20 miles from USC, so they probably haven't mailed them yet or I would have gotten one. Logically, anyway.

And yeah, long-time lurker, first-time poster.

Re: Format of SC

Looks like LSAC changed it for some other schools as well. I checked three other schools, and they all have a new format.
And yes, they added "decision status" and "decision status date" for the three other schools that I checked.

Does everyone that applies go under "Committee 1st read"?

Yep. Everyone goes through 1st read but not everyone goes through 2nd.

Is 2nd good, bad, or neither?

No one knows for sure but, if you skip 2nd read and go straight to final review, you may be looking at a ding.

I've been decision finalized since 3/4 and nothing yet.

Most. There were a few acceptances scattered here and there with a larger acceptance wave around April 10th before the majority of waitlists went out. But we're still seeing some movement so I wouldn't give up hope just yet. Didn't some go into Final Review last Friday? Who knows? We may have a wave this afternoon.
