don't worry about it.

Umm idk though cuz last year a bro applied to HLS and didn't hear anything till May. Bro calls the admissions office to see whatsup. Turns out they had admitted him way back in December but when they typed his email address they capitalized it and the admission email never went through. By the time he found out it was already past the seat deposit deadline so they told him he was SOL. When he was like, "wtf? You guys got my email wrong, don't put this on me!". They were like "you saw that the email address was messed up in your status checker. Why didn't you call us to get it fixed?". Dude ended up having to take a Hamilton at Columbia instead like a total loser. Real shame because now he'll never make it onto SCOTUS.

Oh snap. Mine is in all caps at H on status checker and they haven't responded to any of my emails, guess this means I'm pretty much SCOTUS-bound, right?

Can't tell if you're being serious...capitalization doesn't make any difference with e-mail addresses. It would be ridiculous to contact a school about this.

Hey there,

My file finally just went under review. Non PT and end of November complete date.
On top of the status checker page it says the following:

"Your application will go through several reviews. The process is very intensive and may take extra time to complete.
We are unable to provide an exact date of when you will be notified. A decision could be made at any time between now and the end of April."

Is this what every status says when it goes under review or am I under some special review process that may take longer...???

If anyone knows if really appreciate it!!

Thx!

IIRC, that statement shows up for everyone who has gone UR, so it does not indicate a special review process. No need to worry!

From Duke's provisional acceptance email:
Congratulations again on receiving a provisional offer of admission to Duke Law School. I am writing to update you about a change in the Priority Track program – the interview will now be an optional part of the scholarship determination process. This change reflects the overall strength of the pool that we are seeing and our desire to keep the admissions process as streamlined and simple as possible for our Priority Track applicants.

What this means for you is that because you have already been provisionally admitted, you will be officially admitted to Duke Law School when you complete the next step of our admission process – applying for financial aid and scholarship assistance. As part of the scholarship application process you will have the opportunity to participate in a Skype interview with a member of the committee, if you choose to do so. We hope you will take advantage of the interview because we expect it will provide an excellent opportunity for us to discuss the financial implications of attending law school and to learn how we might be able to help.

The Financial Aid Office will send you the scholarship application form and instructions via email; information about how to schedule an optional interview will be available in November. If you apply, you will receive your official admission letter and a decision on your scholarship application soon after the Committee completes the review.
Any guesses why Duke hasn't stuck to their original timeline regarding interviews?

I have been wondering the same thing... I honestly think it may just be logistics. I can't imagine that they scrap these interviews too though.

I received my financial aid follow-up email from Duke a week or two ago and it included an option to request an interview. That said, NeedAccess won't be available until next year, so Duke probably won't feel any sense of urgency to get these follow-up emails out until January at the earliest. I imagine that financial aid interviews won't be offered until at least then so that the financial aid office has more information available to more accurately/effectively advise people with respect to their specific circumstances.

Yeah, to me it makes sense that they would wait for NeedAccess before having these interviews, although it doesn't explain their original timeline.

Well their email only says information about how to schedule an optional interview will be available in November, not that they would actively communicate it to accepted students in November. So who knows. Maybe if you had called the admissions office last month someone would have been standing by perfectly happy to answer your questions about timing.
