So is it possible that decisions are going out later today?

So, what does it mean when you get an interview request? I just got one and can't find if this is a good thing.
Do they interview most applicants or just the applicants they "like." What exactly does it mean for your chances if you get one? (confused)

The standard line from Chicago is that basically you shouldn't read anything into it either way.c0llegeStUd3nt wrote:So, what does it mean when you get an interview request? I just got one and can't find if this is a good thing.

If you click on your name in the top left hand corner it brings you to your "profile"...mine was on there. I just emailed them asking to change it in my appointment slot, doesn't seem like too big of a dealmidwest17 wrote:Now you've got me paranoid, and I can't figure out how to check that I put the right name in. I was UR 1/9 and also received the request, but it does seem to be mostly 1/3.lawschool22 wrote:Dang! Tons of interview requests tonight. Congrats! Seems to be mainly be people with a UR2 of 1/3, is that correct?

So I can't seem to book an appointment. I click on the link they gave me, select Skype interview from the drop down and then click on available day, and any slot that I click it says staff not available. Am I supposed to do something else first? In the e-mail it said something about creating a user name and password, but I wasn't asked to do that at any point

I also received the interview request. My last update was 1/8. The only days left seem to be at the end of January.

I'm with you, buddy, though I guess technically still UR1 and no change since mid-December.lawschool22 wrote:Dang! Tons of interview requests tonight. Congrats! Seems to be mainly be people with a UR2 of 1/3, is that correct?

I had the same issue. Keep on clicking on available slots that you're able to do, and eventually you'll find one that works. It'll prompt you to enter a name/password plus a create account button. Click create an account and you should be good to go from there.edwardt1988 wrote:So I can't seem to book an appointment. I tried to interview on a Wednesday, and it says "Staff member doesn't do Wednesdays." Is this a common problem? Do they really not do Wednesdays or is it glitching on all of them?

Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Soo, I see this has been discussed before but I can't see exactly the info I'm looking for, so sorry if this is redundant and feel free to just respond with a link.
I got an interview request late last night and have two major questions: what does this mean and how do you prepare? I see above that maybe you shouldn't read into the meaning of the Chicago interview too much, which is fine, but still curious what we know. Is this in any way considered a good sign? What percentage of interviews get in? (I know much more about HArvard interviews, so if you want to compare the two that's cool). It's especially weird that the e-mail basically said: "you can choose not to have an interview, and then we'll review your application without it." Soooo is that a polite way of saying they'll reject me without it or what?
Also, what should I expect on the interview? I'm sure this has been discussed at length, but I can't seem to find it. Are there specific questions I should be ready for, etc.?
Thanks so much for any help you can give!
PS Since I know folks will ask: LSAT >> 75, GPA << 25 (+ good addendum), strong softs, not URM, 5 yrs WE, applied 11/05 (haven't been checking status checker so don't know dates of UR etc.)

I scheduled mine on a Wednesday. I think that if a spot is already booked, the default is "Staff member doesn't do [x day]." Keep trying times until one works.nothingtosee wrote:I tried to interview on a Wednesday, and it says "Staff member doesn't do Wednesdays." Is this a common problem? In an attempt to predict decision releases, what was the earliest those of you receiving interview requests last night could schedule?
I'm wondering if the first round of decisions will be before or after they interview this wave
