The same as the RD deadline. ED is rolling at UVA.The Dark Kite wrote:Nice. What's the deadline for ED?scotth724 wrote:Checking in. Just submitted ED, so hopefully everything goes complete quickly and I'll hear shortly thereafter.

Yea UVA's ED is certainly one of the more unique ones, but actually I guess comparable to GULC. But UVA lets you know within 15 days of completion so that's certainly a bonus. The Dark Kite wrote:Nice. What's the deadline for ED?scotth724 wrote:Checking in. Dear UVA: remember that time I submit my application in September? No? Well.. do you at least remember the four months I sat on your waitlist last year? No to that as well? K. I'mma just go twiddle my thumbs in a corner until you decide to interview me. Or god forbid, waitlist me. Again.

Nice... I didn't get accepted to NUSL ED and I submitted to UVA RD a little over a month ago. Any way to change it to ED? And if you find out in 15 days, a response could be WL, right? Like of your numbers aren't super strong, you won't get outright rejected..?

Lolz don't worry guys, I will be able to show you in a couple of weeks whether UVA rejects EDers outright or not.NoDayButToday wrote::-/ based on Law School Numbers, it does look like some ED people have been outright rejected. The Dark Kite wrote:Nice... (sort by decision type and look at individual profiles for rejected applicants to see whether they were ED)
I would get in touch with the admissions office if you're interested in switching to ED. They're very nice!

1) Yes, you can switch to ED if you give the Dir. of Admissions a thought out reason (note: this does not mean that you tell them you were rejected from your top choice). The Dark Kite wrote:Nice... 2) Yes, a response could be WL, it could also be an outright rejection.

I also haven't heard a word since being complete in mid September. Not fun.

Re: UVA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I just wanted to note, that UVA's class size did decline slightly between the CO 2015 and 2016 by about 26. I'm not sure if this trend will continue, but I doubt it will. As a state school it is important for them to maintain enrollment numbers that provide enough revenue in conjunction with giving to keep the school running properly without raising tuition outrageously. The only reason I note this is that it may lend some solace to those of you still waiting. It is obvious that the school has changed some of its protocols regarding decisions. Some of these new procedures may have been implemented to allow the adcomms to be more meticulous in their decisions regarding admittance. Part of these new protocols may be allowing the adcomms to see (as close as possible) the full applicant pool before making a large number of offers. So, they may very well have been waiting to see December scores before turning on the spout for RDs. Best of luck to everyone.

Good luck! They seem to be enjoying waiting til the last moment with us ED-ers, so brace yourself for a wait possibly to the last day. I'm on day 13 with no response since going complete! The panic is slowly setting in.scotth724 wrote:COMPLETE... let the wait begin...

Reverse splitter. Not sure when my ED app was complete, but I received my waitlist email last Thursday (12/12). Took about 15 days. Now the waiting begins...
Good luck to everyone else, especially reverse splitters!
