Around 1:30 EST from what I've seen.Tela1283 wrote:what time have these calls historically gone out?

Last year a batch of acceptance calls were made on Tuesday, January 15th. The batch before that was the previous Wednesday (Jan 9th). Last Monday, a few calls went out. Thus, I am going to predict (on little to no evidence) that calls will come out either tomorrow or Friday.
Oh god Dean Deal, please admit me. I'm even refreshing the stupid status checker.
I swear I'm not actually this neurotic normally, Dean Deal. I just love Stanford that much.

Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
Should I be worried that my files are still indicated "incomplete" today (1/14)? I submitted on 12/29 and the status date is still shown as 12/29. All items on the checklist are checked except for "Study Abroad Transcript (if applicable)". I did study abroad one summer during UG but it did not count towards college credits. Any suggestions? Should I contact SLS admissions?

+1. I'm considering writing a LOCI soon. Dean Deal said it was a good idea if you go for months without hearing anything, as long as you have something substantial to add....applelover wrote:+1Moonlight wrote:I went complete earlier in October and I haven't heard back yet. Do you guys think there is any use in contacting Stanford and telling them they are your number one choice? I've only been waiting for a week and I'm going insane..................

When I sent in an updated transcript through LSAC they never confirmed receipt but nor did any other school. I did send in a change of address, however, and they basically just sent a note back saying that they made the necessary changes to my file.Moonlight wrote:

I know -- I was borderline not going to ask that question because I knew how silly it sounded, haha. You know how people practice their acceptance speeches at award shows? I keep having dreams of "getting the phone call."Moonlight wrote:Haha you are no where near where most of us are at. I think most of us have been waiting since Octoberanubis1911 wrote:a week?! Have you guys considered sending something additional to them while you're waiting to update your app/ get it moving?

Who are we kidding? Skip law school. With all of this speculation, we would all make excellent CNN reporters.

I applied last week. Today I received 3 big ass packets from Stanford including a fee waiver application, lots info on minority organizations, and sample resumes/PS, but no official acceptance letter. I am an AAF with a 169/4.0.
Has this happened to anyone else? wtf does it mean?

Sounds like a coincidence. If they are sending you fee waivers and sample PS's, I certainly wouldn't take it as a sign you've already been admitted, especially after only one week. Be patient though...you'll have a real shot! Good luck!

Happened to me with Yale and I'm assuming it's bc of minority status (even though I'm not an URM).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
