for those who are in with scholarship money, anyone fully committed to Emory yet?

Serious contender for me since I want to stay in GA but even with scholly $ it's still on the higher end cost-wise.

I'm not, as you can clearly see by my prior post. When evaluating schollies, I think it's easy to forget that Emory is one of the most expensive schools out there. So even if you've got 25k or 30k/yr from Emory, Emory may be more expensive than a similarly ranked school with a 20k/yr scholly.

I might have been more committed if they negotiated scholarships; it is an incredibly expensive school. I will be visiting soon and hope to make my decision after the visit.

2012, are you getting the feeling that with our numbers we're just straddling the acceptance/waitlist line and Emory has no idea which way they want us to fall?

I'm thinkin a: the letter was already in the mail b: we're on that line c: we're just below that line and they're hedging their bets on any withdraws for the next two days. Or d: we're done and no longer a priority to them.

WL (as expected) so while I'm still a would-be Double Eagle, I'm definitely in this for the long haul.

I think the offer of deposit reimbursement is incredibly generous, too. I'm currently on 5 WLs and have not had such an offer from another school.

There's a waitlist deposit? Or are they reimbursing you for your deposit elsewhere?

Here's the wording from the email "To alleviate some of the uncertainty of the waitlist process, if you are offered a spot at Emory Law and matriculate with us, we will credit your student account for the amount of your non-refundable first deposit to one other school (up to $250)."

I just think it's a classy way of acknowledging the stresses of being on a WL.

I wish it were dicey. "Dicey" suggests there's some upside. That's all downside except for a few fortunate souls.

Does anybody know if Emory publishes salary data? Schools of this caliber usually do, but I can't seem to find it for Emory.
