I'm really hoping they come through. I think I was admitted the same day, and I'm going send an email next week if I haven't heard anything. They said previously that they're going to wait on negotiating until after the first deadline for merit scholarship recipients on April 1st. If they say the same thing to me (we'll award merit aid after April 1st) I'm going to have to withdraw since I can't afford to throw away $500 on a non-refundable deposit. It's a shame, too. I'd love GW at the right price.hopelessoptimist wrote:Should I be worried about merit aid if I was admitted 02/15 and still haven't heard anything? Worth sending an email now or wait til the end of next week, aka one month since admission?

Anyone else out there with a file complete date over 2 months old? Just wondering if they're holding on to us in the "just in case" pile before we get dinged/WL...

I'm going to the Preview Day/Preview Evening on March 21-22. I'm staying at a nearby hotel and it's $218 a night for two double beds. If anybody is planning on attending and wants to split the cost with me, PM me.

I'll probably be taking a bus in on Wednesday, have Thursday and Friday to go to GW and GULC, and head back on Saturday.bgoodrick wrote:How long are people going for? I believe GW is downloading FAFSA info March 22 and sending FA awards then.

Did you get any updates before the acceptance or did it stay at 1/10 Complete?

It just stayed at 1/10 complete. I thought they had forgotten about me until it said Decision Made.zestylemon wrote:cbarlow1016 wrote:Submitted mine Jan 10 and just got accepted this past week. Nonrefundable deposit by April 1st.uconjak wrote:what is the acceptance deadline/Conditions for scholarships for GW???? anyone?
In order to accept a merit scholarship, Admissions must receive your [first $500] deposit April 1, which is earlier than the standard April 15 deadline.

Waiting on the post April 1st for scholarship awards. It's to poor a decision for me to attend anywhere near sticker value.

Especially with the whole $1500-non-refundable-deposit thing, I'm very, very apprehensive about GW.TheThriller wrote:Waiting on the post April 1st for scholarship awards. It's to poor a decision for me to attend anywhere near sticker value.

I'm still in review, but, if you know you don't want the current offer, why not just not pay and see after that date if they'll up it?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
