They probably (and correctly, as it happens) assumed that a higher-ranked school would admit me with money. Since one has, I'm not terribly butthurt.

Nope. I didn't for any school. I was just so eager to get my apps in ASAP that I decided not to take the time.law_app_noob wrote: Did you submit a 'why duke'?
LOL @ that reasoning.

Yeah, it just sounds like you got YP'd. Since you got scholarship money at a higher ranked school, it doesn't sound like you really want to attend Duke, but if you did want to, I'm sure you could send in a letter of continued interest and get off the WL.shntn wrote:Nope. Sorry to hear!
But I do enjoy the company on PR seeing as this is the only decision I've received so far.

Sorry to hear! But at least it's not the first place you've heard back from so you know there is nothing wrong with your application.

Didn't know any others of these existed on TLS. How long did it take you (or other RD, non-PTers) to go from Complete;RfR to Under Review?shntn wrote: If you're a long-term, non-PT applicant like myself, a status date change might presage some movement on your app.

Almost, I still got PR'd at 168 with a 3.98.jym_dawg wrote:Sorry, y'all.
Not a very clear pattern to this PT/PR madness on LSN. They admit the auto-admits but throw in a few PR for YP; PR a few people right at both 75ths; PR folks who are (169, <3.7; 168, <3.8; 167, <3.9); and throw in a few splitter PRs for good measure. Wat is this.

Damn. Coming up on four weeks at Complete;RfR. I guess I'll give them a call at the 30-day mark and ask what's up.

shntn and I also applied in September before most people had even taken the LSAT, so it could be just that the the adcoms are busy now. I've seen on other schools' threads too that things are slowing down with the admissions process compared to when I sent my applications, so there is probably nothing wrong with your application.jym_dawg wrote:Damn. Ok everyone, here we go:
RD, not PT, submitted 9/8, accepted via e-mail.
Think I've been UR since 9/28 and was at work all day so I didn't check my status checker.
E-mail was sent at 6:47. Wrote a why Duke.
Also, shntn, sorry to hear that, my fellow RD'er. :/

Silly decision--sorry to see this. Have a feeling I'm about to get my first ding from these guys -- I'm on the same path as you and Lavitz, but without your numbers.shntn wrote:Submitted 9/4; complete and RfR 9/5; UR 9/28; UR (again) 12/5; PR 12/7.venus wrote:About two weeks.jym_dawg wrote:Didn't know any others of these existed on TLS. Thanks, guys. And kingsfield, since you got a JS1 from Harvard, I'm sure your softs make you competitive enough for Duke
