Jw, but for people who got their packets in the mail already, how long did you get them after getting in via email?

Received another lovely envelope of information from Duke today. Everything they send me makes me love Duke more.
Actually choosing a school in a few months isn't going to be easy.

We'll see what else rolls around. I'm waiting on ~15 other apps and the prospect of waiting out a year doesn't sit quite right to me. I'm far less happy than I should be, having been accepted to a T10 school...ketchup wrote:Also, I'd be all over this.the_phoenix612 wrote:I just got an offer of admission for the class of 2013. How are priority track people chosen? I assumed it was people above both medians, But there's been people who are below both medians here getting in through PT, does anyone know? I wish I was PT

Status checker changed from "File Complete, Ready for Review" to "File under Review." Date updated to 11/28. Others receive the same? Assume this means a decision is coming soon?

I've been at that status since the end of October - although others who submitted around the same time as me have already got decisions. So it's a good sign, but you might still be waiting a while.msblaw89 wrote:Yep, happened to me. Ok so to clarify.... people who got accepted got an acceptance email while they were in "file under review" status?

Re: Duke c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Are you above both medians? You may be able to request PT (unless you've already submitted your application, which, unfortunately, I'm assuming you've done). I felt a bit shameless in doing so, but I successfully requested PT (GPA/LSAT above 75ths). Perhaps this could work for you, if you've yet to submit.smokeylarue wrote:How are priority track people chosen? I think it's just based on LSAT's, since I'm a 171/3.53 (and Duke is one of the stricter schools in terms of GPA) and got a PT app (where they requested my fall grades... I'm assuming I'll get waitlisted or something, but we'll see).smokeylarue wrote:How are priority track people chosen? I think the trend is 170+ and 3.5+. I didn't get PT and I'm marginally below those numbers.iamrobk wrote:I think it's just based on LSAT's, since I'm a 171/3.53 (and Duke is one of the stricter schools in terms of GPA) and got a PT app (where they requested my fall grades... I agree w/ this. I have 169 lsat and am above 75% for gpa and just got a fee waiver but no PT. Seems very LSAT-centeredHopefully2012 wrote:I think the trend is 170+ and 3.5+. Ah, makes sense I got one then. Well if I can manage a priority waitlist I'll be happy, but who knows.Hopefully2012 wrote:I think the trend is 170+ and 3.5+. I think this is correct. I am just barely under a 3.5 and didn't get a PT invite. I tried to solicit PT but ended up with only a fee waiver.Hopefully2012 wrote:I think the trend is 170+ and 3.5+. Hm FWIW, I'm 170+ and 3.5+ but didn't get a PT invite (however, it does seem like I'm the exception). I didn't try to solicit, although now I kind of wish that I had...Tiago Splitter wrote:I think this is correct. I am just barely under a 3.5 and didn't get a PT invite. FWIW 170, 3.84 here for PT but I also had multiple LSATs that would have dragged me lower... not sure if that makes a difference or not.
In other news, for those who are already in, anyone else get an email saying a minority organization will call you tonight? I'm not URM or anything cool like that... just gay... haha. No idea what I'm going to say or ask about

Hm yeah I have 170+ and 3.5+ too as well with no PT invite so I don't think its automatic like that. I wonder what it is. Oh well.
