I actually have heard of a few people doing this and a few doing it in reverse, it's not that crazy. Good luck!Kimberly wrote:MD. I know, it is totally nuts. Like a house I will never move in to. Trust me, I routinely contemplate my own sanity regarding this decision...

+1 for the Yeezy reference, but I am also curious about your future title. Did you know you could put that stuff on your credit cards??potl wrote:Haha kind of reminds me of Kanye West's "School Spirit" skits.Kimberly wrote:MD. I know, it is totally nuts. All UC schools and law schools are on similar tuition amounts / raises. If they raise for one school, they raise for the whole system.msblaw89 wrote:UCLA did the same thing. Re the credit cards- yes. But, that is a poor choice and not a wise investment. Re my title- just good ol' "Kimberly" will do for me.jfish wrote:+1 for the Yeezy reference, but I am also curious about your future title. Can't you ask them to hold your application until the second score comes out?viacavour wrote:Under review on 12/12!!

Haha I'm guessing jfish was referring to having the "Dr." and "Esq." titles on credit cards. Otherwise...yeah, having 500k on your credit cards probably won't be to your advantage.Kimberly wrote:Re the credit cards- yes. But, that is a poor choice and not a wise investment. LOL! Hilarious... I totally missed that! I actually do have MD on one of my cc and I think it was a mistake... waiters seem to expect bigger tips... And, I definitely think there is some type of financial discrimination going on, in general, when people know you are a doctor or a lawyer... heaven forbid they know you are both... they think the salaries are cumulative. Even my colleagues who know i am going to LS think that somehow means I will be making MORE than my physician salary now! HAHAHAHA! What a joke!

Re: Berkeley c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I sent 3, none were targeted. Didn't lengthen or tailor PS (2 pages exactly) or write a Why Berkeley and I got in via email a few days ago. I have no connections to CA and made no indication (other than sending an application) that I wanted to move from the East Coast to CA--I think the black box hype is a little exaggerated. Anyway, send a 3rd if you have one ready it certainly won't hurt, but I doubt it will be the difference between a yes and a no.msblaw89 wrote:Just out of curiosity... how many LOR did you send Berk?
