The did run us by the gym a couple times (it's directly across the street from Mercer, although there's also one further uptown), but nobody I knew tried to go in.

FYI, the gym on Mercer Street is pretty crappy. If you're thinking about checking out the NYU gym scene, I would head to the one on Union Square (Palladium) - it's much nicer. Although it is a bit of a trek from the law school (probably a 15 minute walk).

Visited some classes at NYU today. It's pretty chill environment and there are some great places to eat in the direct vicinity (Mamoun's falafel was awesome). Not sure if I'm a big fan of the detachment from the rest of NYU's campus though

i LOVE mamoun's falafel!! not gonna lie, that's seriously a factor drawing me to NYU.

If you're still there, you should check out Think Coffee. There's also a wonderful (albeit pricey) brunch place a bit further down MacDougal called Camaje. Their crepes with goat cheese, egg, and mushroom = heaven.

the last group just met for lunch prior to the thursday one starting. not a bad idea.

It worked really well. We met at the arch in Washington Square Park at noon. I might recommend meeting at like 11:30 to give slightly more time for lunch. But they did have some snacks at the very first panel, so whatever.
