I'd be down, but to be honest this top tips event sounds like a waste of time.gothamm wrote:Is anyone planning on going to the "top tips" event scheduled on june 23?
pm me if you want to meet a bit earlier and grab some lunch nearby. It's always good to meet fellow classmates ahead of time

Re: Loyola LA 2011
I can't figure out if it will be a waste of time or not. I went to similar workshops at the UC Hastings admitted students day and the financial aid portion was actually REALLY helpful. I'm debating if the session is worth the drive from Orange County.chimp wrote:I'd be down, but to be honest this top tips event sounds like a waste of time.gothamm wrote:Is anyone planning on going to the "top tips" event scheduled on june 23?

I just don't see what you could gain from it that you couldn't find out online or by calling/emailing them (unless you really want to go on a campus tour or something).stowhat wrote:I can't figure out if it will be a waste of time or not. True, but it was nice to hear other people's questions. The Hastings presenter went over things that I would have never thought of but were really helpful. I probably won't go to the Loyola event but I feel like I should.chimp wrote:I just don't see what you could gain from it that you couldn't find out online or by calling/emailing them (unless you really want to go on a campus tour or something).stowhat wrote:I can't figure out if it will be a waste of time or not. Hopefully someone on here will go and report back. I wouldn't be able to go even if I wanted to.

as for whether it is worth it or not, I have no idea. But I am sure that I will gain at least some insights into the workings of law school.

Housing question - I remember on the 2nd deposit letter mentioning something about housing - is the housing classifieds online where you get to post your preferences/find roommates/etc the only resource they were referring to? Thanks!

Has anyone been accepted off of the waitlist yet?
Also, did everyone just receive the waitlist REconfirmation letter?

I know a guy who knows a guy who says there hasnt been any movement on the waitlist as of the middle of last week. Most movement will happen after the second seat deposit so we'll see. Did you send in a LOCI already?lalalawya wrote:Has anyone been accepted off of the waitlist yet?

HAHA, "I know a guy who knows a guy..." Do you know when the second seat deposit is due? I just checked their admissions timeline and the date is listed as TBD.jstubbs wrote:I know a guy who knows a guy who says there hasnt been any movement on the waitlist as of the middle of last week. Ha! Welcome backDanteshek wrote:I'm back from a three month ban. Happy to answer any questions about Loyola.

Few questions:
1. Do you know if the waitlist reconfirmation letter is pretty standard for everyone? I ask only because I sent my LOCI just a month ago, and received this reconfirmation letter AFTER I received an e-mail from the school confirming my status on the waitlist.
2. Do you know when the waitlist activity typically starts? Or does it pretty much vary from year to year?
3. Do LLS students typically live with other LLS students? Or, do they choose to live with other people?
Thank ya!

Sorry, but these are not questions about Loyola Law School. They are mere expressions of your anxiety about getting into Loyola Law School. But seriously, unless you are married (I doubt you are, considering the tone of your questions), you should live alone. Roommates are way too distracting to have around.lalalawya wrote:Ha! Shoot, and I thought I covered my anxiety well. But really? I would think it would get incredibly lonely living alone...Danteshek wrote:Sorry, but these are not questions about Loyola Law School. Re: Loyola LA 2011
I would think if the second waitlist confirmation form has a deadline of June 20th that they would expect the waitlist acceptance process to begin on or around that date. However I do think they are being truthful when they say it depends on factors of their control, primarily how many people enroll and what their numbers are.

Re: Loyola LA 2011
I got my reconfirm letter on Saturday and sent it out. It went out with the Monday mail since there's no pickup on Sundays. Should I call to see if they've received it? I just sent in my loci two weeks ago and I don't want to come off as annoying.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
