Thanks! I don't check in TOO often there, but it is worth looking just to see where the movement is.rs2004 wrote:i love your work. i really appreciate tls in times like these.thelaststraw05 wrote:I monitor the updates on applications on LSN.... no news there eitherdcwumpus wrote:Nothing but crickets!ash8309 wrote:Anyone, anything?
I had a dream last night that I was accepted and they gave me two scholarships, one for 10K and one for 12K. It makes no sense but it was the best feeling ever! My 8 weeks is up on Friday. It would be a huge reach with my numbers anyways (163/3.0) but I do have 5 years WE in the non profit sector (PI-focused app) and had a great discussion with interviewer. Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed.
Good luck to you - I hope you get a HUNDRED scholarships!

Haven't most of the decisions gone out by 5pm EST in the past?

I dont think the decisions are out yet. Read Johann's tweet from 32 mins ago. Says they will go out later this afternoon. Later this afternoon is probably not less than 32 mins.krad wrote:That would be quite the epic fail...bk187 wrote:Did they just send all these decisions to people who don't have any form of digital communication and thus don't use TLS/LSN?thelaststraw05 wrote:I monitor the updates on applications on LSN.... no news there either

There's my mistake. I always forget Chicago is Central Time, since my only friend in the Midwest goes to Notre Dame and is EST.wiseguy33 wrote:Still 20 min left before the end of the Chicago business day!

Haha an email from LinkedIn just freaked me out. I think I need to logoff for a while, I'm not usually this jumpy when it comes to admissions stuff.

And who says their business day has a particular end? I work at a university, and we work crazy long hours when we deal with stuff like job searches, etc. Especially if they feel like time is running out (i.e., the eight weeks "rule").

Guys, UCLA called people on a Sunday. Also I got a UPenn WL email at 6 EST. The laws of business do not necessarily apply.

I think its based on that the last few times decisions have come out, they have come at almost exactly 5pm for NU.mr_toad wrote:And who says their business day has a particular end? True. But they weren't under a self-inflicted deadline at that point. But you're right, past experience is an indicator of sorts.awilson11 wrote:I think its based on that the last few times decisions have come out, they have come at almost exactly 5pm for NU.mr_toad wrote:And who says their business day has a particular end? Very true, but it is an answer to the question: "Why are people paying attention to the end of the business day in Chicago?"thelaststraw05 wrote:Unfortunately as you've probably seen if you've ever invested:mr_toad wrote:True.
