yea and the estimated in state tuition for 2011-12 is 19,611. actual tuition fees will not be determined until 7/1/11.carrier wrote:She's probably just pointing out to keep in mind Cost of Attendance and not Scholarship Total. Re: Temple 2011
I called today and asked what was taking so long with my finaid package, as I submitted my fafsa and temple aid application in February and haven't hear anything. The lady to whom I spoke said that she didn't have my SAR for whatever reason (?) and asked that I email a copy to her. I did, and received my preliminary financial aid award within 10 minutes. It lists a $2020 Temple University Grant. Since this is need based (I'm in state), can I negotiate this?

So I went complete 2/22 and haven't heard anything since from Temple, is it normal to take this long? I've been stuck in "waitlist hell" and still waiting on all of the PA schools (I'm in state) so I'm getting a little anxious...

That's interesting because she said the same exact line about the in-state tuition only being 17,566 in my negotiation letter and i'm out of state!rs2004 wrote:yea and the estimated in state tuition for 2011-12 is 19,611. actual tuition fees will not be determined until 7/1/11.carrier wrote:She's probably just pointing out to keep in mind Cost of Attendance and not Scholarship Total. Is it weird if I applied in January and my app didn't go complete until 3/21? I should have worried about this earlier, but haven't really been paying attention to my temple status checker.

Undecided between Temple and Penn State Law. I see good value in both, so help me out in deciding? I'd love all the input I can get.

For those of you on the waiting list; did you send a LOCI, who did you send them to, and did you get a response? I sent one over a month ago and didn't receive any response from the admissions office, so I'm wondering if that is normal or if I should send another one.

Well, I am still complete from 2/7 and no matter how many times I email they don't respond. But, hey, neither did Brooklyn, Fordham, or any other school I tried contacting. At least not the first time.

Re: Temple 2011
Yup sent it the day after I got WLed. I kind of acted dumb and sent it via email with the same format I send everything else so I get more space to write so it wasn't addressed to anyone and I got a confirmation that they received it that same day. If you are nervous just call and ask if they received it (I'm guessing you sent it via snail mail and that's why you never got a confirmation)Murray wrote:For those of you on the waiting list; did you send a LOCI, who did you send them to, and did you get a response? Anyone else applying for the Rubin-Presser Scholarship? Is there a page limit? Also, I'm slightly confused how question 3 is any different from 1 and 2...

Re: Temple 2011
I am applying as well. I emailed Temple a week ago with questions but have yet to hear back. I would assume that we should keep our statement fairly concise. I am answering all of the questions in one statement. That's how I interpreted "Please attach a separate statement addressing the following..." Is that what you are doing too?nightman09 wrote:Anyone else applying for the Rubin-Presser Scholarship? Is there a page limit? I called them this morning, and they said either one long statement or three mini-essays would be fine.mt1042 wrote:I am applying as well.
