where are you getting info that last year's number's were better?

I'm basing it on the fact that after march 2,the majority of the offers they gave out were waitlists, with few acceptances and some rejections.

I'm still crossing my fingers too though!

but why do you feel like last years numbers were better?

What do y'all think about how turn up and RSVPs will affect the waitlist? I am sure some people RSVP with "no I will not be coming and have decided to go else where" or at least I hope :D

Is it generally accepted that UGA informs people of decisions on Fridays? I thought I heard this from someone...could be wrong, though.

Uhhhh.... thanks for pointing this out... just checked LSN and it is bleak for March acceptances. My fingers just went from being crossed to opening a beer to drink away the waitlist blues that I fear are coming my way. Weak :( .

It's kind of weird though. It looks like they accepted almost anyone with 165+, no matter the GPA. Like this would help their LSAT medians for sure, but severely lower their GPA stats. You'd think they would want to accept people with lower LSAT and higher GPA scores to balance this out... but they are only splitter-friendly, so far...

Are there still people out there that are UR? I've been UR since November, and I'm wondering what it means that I haven't been moved to Held for further review yet...

I'm UR since Jan. as well... I'm going to try to have the congressman I intern for send a letter. Hopefully this will move my app forward? I wouldn't be devastated if I got WL though.. better than a straight out deny, right??

Mine's been held since late Jan and I applied early Jan. They're very LSAT-oriented, it seems.

I was held for two months with a 168 so I think you can be held for a variety of reasons (I think mine was some minor disciplinary matter).

That being said, $$ from UGA is one of the few things that could sway my pretty solid decision to attend WUSTL or UIUC, thanks to their generosity, so fingers crossed.

In with a phone call yesterday (3-4-11) from a 3L student. She said my status checker would be updated Monday.

"The program begins at 1:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception with faculty from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m." (from website)
