Just got dinged with LSAT >> 75 and GPA just above 25. In at Duke off PT but I'm still concerned. Any thoughts?

I think they're trying to raise their GPA stats, tbh. I had a median LSAT and below 25 GPA.

Surprised because almost all of you have numbers that would, IMO, are strong enough for Cornell...which is why I think it's weird...

Did you all interview?? Did you find out via statuschecker or email??

I didn't interview. Got the email then saw someone on here say they saw it via status checker so I peeked at the status checker as well, which was updated.

Lol, it's actually really fine. Cornell probably got it right. I'm not bothered by this (other than it being my first rejection of the cycle) so I clearly wasn't REALLY that interested in Cornell. I think the upstate-New York weather + one of my close friends telling me I'd hate Ithaca ruined it for me

Yeah that makes sense. I wasn't expecting much since I'm barely above 25th, but I'm pretty surprised by the straight up rejection haha

That's what I'm thinking too. They turned down someone with a 170 LSAT but below median gpa....

As someone with Median GPA and LSAT between 25 and median, I smell a waitlist letter coming my way

I've already gotten into 6 other T14s so I'm not too worried (and I don't think other dings should be either). Don't get me wrong, the ding definitely hurts, but I'm still feeling optimistic about my cycle.

Oh god. My median GPA gave me a little hope but after seeing this, I will proceed to brace myself.

I never even got an interview invite. They must be really into GPA this year. Checking previous cycles, there has only been one other applicant who got outright rejected >75 LSAT and <25GPA. A few waitlists, mostly admits with money.

I don't get it.. Their 25% GPA is higher than every T7-14 other than Berkley. And their median GPA is pretty much in line with the other schools as well. Not sure why they'd be knocking out everyone with below median GPAs

Our Admissions Committee has reviewed your application and placed your file on reserve. However, we are unable to make a final decision until later in the admission process.
Due to our small class size, and because we receive a high volume of applications for our entering class each year, we can only extend a limited number of admission offers initially. As we get further into the admission cycle we decide if additional offers are appropriate; usually mid-to-late May.
Our reserve list is not ranked, and will be reviewed again before we make additional offers. You may supplement your application throughout the admission cycle as long as your application is active. Updated transcripts and letters of recommendation should be processed through LSAC.

Yeah, its okay though. I understand that they have a lot of applicants and some tough decisions. Perhaps they made an internal decision that GPA is a better indicator of success than a super high LSAT. Or it could be a 100 different things.
