If accepted, how likely are you to attend?

Are you kidding? It's my first choice. Consider my seat deposit sent.

It's high on my list but it's not THE school I'm waiting to hear back from.

It's high on my list, but I can probably be swayed by more money from another school.

Meh... I applied because it's a T14 - we'll see how my cycle goes.

Really just plan on using it for scholarship negotiation purposes.

Still feel really unsure. I'll probably visit or go to ASW to get a better feel for the school/location.

I'm 175/3.7 with good softs and got 90k. Not sure the high LSAT theory holds up.
maybe they're just lowballing you because they expect people to negotiate?
They said they don't negotiate grants in the email :/ not sure how true it is though.

somebody with the same numbers as me negotiated from 90K to 135K last year, so I'm sure they'll negotiate at least with peer schools.

Lawyers Club comes with a 12 meal per week plan. Does this mean we are on our own for one day a week? Or we have to space out our meals?

Damn that's good to hear (assuming I can get peer schools to compete lol). Thanks for the info!

They negotiate. I was able to add about 30k from my original offer.

IN! Via email on the morning of the 4th + status checker.

App submitted: 11/13
Complete: Don't know for sure, but definitely not for a month.

LSAT > 75th, GPA = 'Superior' (I'm international), wrote a solid Why X.

In my why x I say Michigan Law instead University of Michigan Law School. Is the former okay or do I have to switch?

I think it's usually between 3 - 6 AM west coast time? Not positive.

I got an email asking if I would consider the summer start even though I indicated "Fall only" on my application. would being open to starting in the summer increase my chances of admission? the idea of an early start to get re-acclimated with the academic life does sound appealing, especially at a school like umich... and it's not like i'm doing anything important with my time now.

but i guess my main concern is that umich is not necessarily my #1 choice. does being admitted as a summer starter push my decision making timeline forward? (i.e. will i have to make a choice on which law school to attend and submit a deposit before all my options are in?)

oh and there is a wedding i wanted to attend right before independence day that would require me to take a plane if im at school.

For my undergrad, they had a 10 and 14 plan or something similar. I would just eat breakfast or sometimes lunch in my apartment. I also had like a 125 meal/semester plan too. It just takes a quick plan to see how spacing out the dining hall meals works for you and your schedule. Always ended up having a surplus anyway. I would probably use the 12 for lunch/dinner on weekdays and then dinner on weekends, as a personal preference. I really like the lawyer's club :D

People who went complete around the same time as me are starting to hear back, so I know I just need to be patient, but for a variety of personal reasons, I would now prefer to be a summer starter if at all possible. I am hesitant to contact them about it because I think it'll seem a bit too anxious on my part, so I am wondering if, if I get accepted for fall, I can request summer consideration? I would think I could, right? (fwiw, in my app I indicated a fall preference but was open to either).

Since your response on the application has now changed, I feel that if you are that strongly about your new preference, you can send them an email to update them.

It makes sense when you say it like that. I really don't want to come off as anxious or have it delay a response, though. I'm going to keep thinking about this..
