Lololol well I thought my essay was convincing... There are many things I genuinely like about the school, it's just the location that would deter me from going (obviously I didn't say that last bit)caitlinrw wrote:SweetTort wrote:I think this is why it's plausible.KatCoco wrote:I wrote a Why UVA so does that really make sense...? Sorry to hear that. Did your status checker update/did you interview at any point?dreams2020 wrote:Just got my rejection letter. GPA < 25%, LSAT > 75%, medium severity Character and Fitness issue. Anyone else been UR for over a month? Glad to see UVA is putting as much time into reading my app as I put into writing it!

Oof, that's no fun. I know it'll happen when it happens! That doesn't stop me from status-checking twice daily though hahagovlife wrote:UR since 9/22, so I feel your pain. Haha, totally. The only thing keeping me from obsessive checking is the (possibly delusional) hope that I'll eventually get an interview request by email.forum_user wrote:Oof, that's no fun. Received an email today from someone who graduated from my alma-mater and then went to UVA Law. I'm sure UVA prompted them to do this but it was extremely sincere. Again, just goes to show how UVA really tries to court you once you get in.
Gotta love them

In today via status checker!
For everyone who's concerned about the length of UR1, I was under review from 10/17. Went UR2 yesterday and in today.

I've been UR1 since 9/12. Losing hope. 25<GPA<50, 75<LSAT. There must have been something they didn't like about my app.

Every time I check this thread I get discouraged because I haven't had an interview req yet, but then I remember I submitted UVA's app in November so it's only been 10 days...

Late to the game, but in last week via phone after a late-October submission. Definitely one of my top choices, if not my top, so I'm still quite happy.

Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
In! I was verbally admitted today at the end of a phone interview with Dean Faulk. He's a great interviewer - asked me some questions about the interests I listed on my application, Why UVA, where do I see myself in 5 years and 30 years, and my three best and worst qualities.
I love UVA, and will be in this class. Can't wait to meet you guys. Best of luck to all those waiting for a decision!
