I thought my stats were way too low. Does anyone know what the correlation is for JS1 timing and acceptance? Is there a certain cut off date such as interview request by a certain time is a better indicator of potential acceptance or anything like that? Sorry if someone already posted about this. Late to the game.
Damn, you have similar stats as me. Could you PM me your details (URM, softs, etc)?
Begging for that JS1

I remember seeing this on the Harvard Law website but I can't find it now. What % of those who JS1 are admitted?

Check out page 33 of this thread. There's a bunch of info (and a bit of speculation) about this there.

Really? Mylsn puts you at just about a coinflip
There's definitely a correlation btw JS1 time and JS2 likelihood, but at this point it's probably a wash. Becomes more predictive later in the cycle, e.g. JS1 off the WL much less likely to yield JS2 than JS1 in Oct-Dec.
ETA: Congrats!!!
thanks for the info!!!

A bit late to the party, but also got JS1 today! Complete since 9/24. Still kind of in shock!

Just FYI, a friend who works at HLS told me that the Dean of Admissions is on maternity leave this month. Also, in my JS1, my interviewer told me they won't be making acceptance offers until the new year (I think some other folks have posted about having been told the same by their interviewer). Taking both those factors into account, it looks like even the earliest JS2s won't be starting until January this year.

I guess it doesn't matter, but just wondering for my own prognosticating if I should assume I went complete when the tracker said so or when I received the email?
You should consider the status checker date your complete date. I believe I read that they send out the complete emails in batches every week or so, leaving some people with a gap between the status check and the email.

That's awful. I hate this. Please delete your post and replace it with something more optimistic.

according to Spivey, only a 2.8% increase in 175-180 applicants from this time last year (
http://blog.spiveyconsulting.com/2015-1 ... data-lsat/).
This is probably good news for all you high scorers (esp splitters) who applied early, since they're likely to assume little change in Dec and may be more likely to compare to last year's pool than wait to compare to the rest of this year's.

Actually a slight decrease in 175 + scorers, 254 this year vs. 272 last year (per Spivey
http://blog.spiveyconsulting.com/first- ... ion-cycle/). Hope that you're right oliverotis!
I'm a 174, but these numbers still give me hope!

Interesting, I was wondering where you got that # (from the NYU thread). Strange because LSAC also reported that the 254 figure was a 2.8% increase from last year...in any case, good news!

Soooo this means they can go ahead and start rolling out the JS2s right?

Just spent a solid hour trying to find JS on social media to verify/discount the maternity leave claim... no luck. I think I can now accurately be considered desperate?

I wish that I could say I hadn't also tried something of the sort...
Mostly I just wanted to see if I could find the date when she would be back so that I could get a better idea of when to expect the JS2s.

For unknown reasons, I have 3 recommendation letters appearing on my status checker. One is appearing as received December 1st and is a name I don't recognize. I only submitted two letters. Any thoughts? Will probably email admissions but I'm confused

Why are they claiming it's an increase?
Might just be due to timing of the reports this year vs last or something along those lines. Either way, figured that I would pass along
